Maybe Jack the Ripper was an Extra Terrestrial and couldn't be found, because he was constantly beamed up to the mother ship. LOL

Bloody idiots with far too much time on their hands, more like. :-)

Jill the Ripper must have been an angry wife, whose husband slept with hookers.

I thought Jack the Ripper was really the Loch Ness Monster.

I'm a member of the Liberal Party of Australia. This, I know, may come as a shock to Americans, but in Australia "Liberals" are the main conservative party.

When I describe myself as a liberal to my conservative friends I always end up explaining......

By liberal I mean listening to all sides of an argument......reading extensively in many different newspapers online......constantly learning new things....open to suggestions........eager to try new recipes.....etc.

I'm liberal in the tradition of our founding fathers.

I'm a congenital optimist........

and I loved the movie......

DANNY DECK CHAIR.

that says it all!!

Sort of a misleading headline.

"It's possible the Ripper could be female but the results are inconclusive," said Prof Findlay, who is the chief scientific officer at the Gribbles Molecular Science forensic lab.

He said because the samples were so old, very small and poorly preserved, only a partial profile was built that "didn't reach forensic standards" nor identified an individual.

Either Conan Doyle or H.G wells postulated a theory that the Ripper was female. My money's still on Druitt.

I found a picture of the person from way back then. I think they are related to someone we know today.

If they decide that she was a lesbian acting out her repression against society, will California demand that it be included in their new textbooks? ;-)

I had heard there was pretty strong evidence it was a Canadian queer named Francis Tumptley, who was dismissed as a suspect at the time because he was a known homosexual.

There's no evidence that any of the Ripper letters are from the killer, with the possible exception of one that included part of a human kidney (sent not to the police, but to George Lusk, the head of a local Whitechapel vigilante group.) Most of letters were fabrications by hoaxers and reporters, who recognized a hundred years ago that a good story sells copy.

More importantly, Jack the Ripper couldn't have been a Freemason!

Here is the background. "Jill" was denied membership in the Freemasons, so she went on a killing spree, leaving evidence of a Masonic ritualist killing in each incident.

Jack the Ripper was a composite for three Amish teenagers.

This is all wrong.

Jack the Ripper was really married to Jill and they had a child thus continuing the "Ripper Bloodline" throughout the centuries.

In 1995 secret documents were uncovered by Scotland yard explaining the formation of the priory of gumshoes and their sacred mission to protect the secret of that bloodline.

Among the grand masters were Sherlock Holmes, Winston Churchill, and Sean Connery.

It's the greatest coverup in law enforcement history.

I believe most thought Jack to be a prominent member of society, so the stamp was most likely placed on the envelope by a house servant and placed in the post.

Have you read Patrica Cornwell's book about it? According to her, the real Jack the Ripper was some man who came to the US around the turn of the century and died here.
