[history]
Convicted Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui says he lied on the witness stand about being involved in the plot and wants to withdraw his guilty plea because he now believes he can get a fair trial.
In a motion filed Friday but released today, Moussaoui said he testified March 27 he was supposed to hijack a fifth plane on Sept. 11, 2001, and fly it into the White House "even though I knew that was a complete fabrication."

It's just that there has been so much coverage of this case, I was surprised. Of course, just because there's been coverage, I shouldn't assume everyone has followed it. Lord knows I tuned out the OJ case as much as I could.

The judge stated at the sentencing that he cannot appeal the verdict, since he pled guilty. He can only appeal the sentence.

Just release him in Battery Park after announcing the time and date. Oh, also pull all police back about 20 blocks.
The Moussaoui would be solved ala Mussolini.

He was lying then, or he is lying now. Charge him with perjury.
To: 50sDad
You may have the answer. Put him on a pay-per-view webcam, and the nickles earned go to the families who lost loved ones in 911 I was thinking today about how there were webcams connected to guns in the woods and people would pay to hunt online... Wouldnt it be neat if executions were like that? Or the hunt for Bin Laden via Satilite?

this guy was willing to fly a plane into a building, he's hardly scared by supermax.
Not true. One is going down in a flaming ball of glory .supermax is wasting away second by second in a cement coffin..Not the warriors idea of the "way to go " .

"Moussaoui has said he lied on the stand..."
So now he is guilty of perjury?. Heck that is barely an impeachable offense in this country.

Another reason he should have gotten the death penalty. Now we're going to put up with the MSM giving him the soapbox he desires to call America the great satan.
And of course the endless stream of liberal handwringing articles that tell of his **plight**.

Doesn't Islamic law require death of those who commit perjury? Not if it is done to advance Islam.
To: TomGuy
It's the newest wave in crime and punishment: the "Supermax" penitentiary. Is it the only way to keep the country's toughest inmates under control
or a violation of human rights?
It's this kind of @%$# thinking that will doom us as a country.
Effin liberal pukes...

The terrorists are making a complete mockery of our system.
The Iranian Mullahs are making Pres. Bush look like a fool.
They will win unless we change things drastically.

I tend to agree. How long before his image is on protest placards right along with Che, Mao, and the ever-popular Mumia?
I'm sure any Ive League school would love to have him, ideally as a matriculating student, but at least as a speaker/honorary degree recipient.

Mousoui,
OK so you lied. When? On the stand in a court of law? So why should anyone believe you now when your religious tradition says it's ok for you to lie to Infidels(Americans)?
Well maybe we should just put him in the general population for that Perjury conviction.
