I work with liberals and I haven't heard anybody trying to hand-wring this nutjob. You may have some hard-core ACLU types who whine, but my leftie buddies are pleased he didn't get the death penalty (Just because they are either anti-DP or didn't think the Gov't made the case...)and glad he's going to rot.
