You 're on point Morgan.

Here is Michael Barone (the REAL number cruncher) showing things in perspective.

Despite all the discouraging news and dismal poll numbers, there are a lot of plodding, dull, dutiful people, too stubborn to take instruction from their betters in the mainstream media, who insist on going out and voting Republican. Hard to explain. But that's what the numbers seem to say.

Here's bad news from Biden: He has "confidence" in Specter's leadership.

I have been convinced for years now that McCain does these things to avoid scrutiny by Republicans in his own state, as well as giving himself cover for a national run for office. Couched in other terms, McCain is working to fix the rules in his favor.

Timmy has his serious frowny face on this morning.

Are you sure? He's not interviewing a republican today. Perhaps he "venting" against the Bush impersonator, since the real Dubya wouldn't give a hack like him the time of day!

Explaining exactly why Pelosi will get rid of it. Every last vestige of "Bushness" must be eradicated..

Exactly and I cannot, for the life of me, see why in the world the Republicans with Bush leading the charge, doesn't get out front with several absolutely winning points.

Such as:

1. The roaring economy and it may die if the democrats gain control and raise taxes.

2. ANWR - drill and watch gas prices recede. Just the threat of drilling will reduce prices.

3. The absolute success of the Medicare Drug Plan.

4. The WOT and the fact we haven't been attacked since 9/11, thank Heavens.

5. Social Security - the 3rd rail that no one wants to talk about anymore, but was just announced this week that the funds will not last as long as projected.

I could go on and on but am listening to the love fest between Biden/Specter on FNS. Jeez, what a joke for two senators and one is supposedly on our side.

They're saying that the drop in Bush's numbers are due to CONSERVATIVES.

If these people stay home to punish the President and give us years of dem control, they will surely rot in someplace warm.

Democratic Senator Specter says he will assert his watchdog role over civil liberties by peeling away more of a classfied national security program in public hearings, that is if General Hayden doesn't spill the beans in private during his congressional "walk arounds".

I'm sitting here wondering just when Arlen Specter became the most important man in the world.

There's a little red light on top of the active Camera in the Studio, when THAT light is on.... -Specter is the most important man in the World. LOL!

Our enemies won't have to attack... they can just name a time and place for the RATs to sign the surrender documents.

So, you wanna fess up now, or do we have to task a spy satellite to get us some pictures?

LOL!!! Better task one of those satellites with infrared capability, because it's damn cloudy here!

The thought of watching Specter and Biden within the same hour gives me the willies.

a large part of the drop in President Bush's poll ratings were due to unhappy Republicans! No kidding, MSM!

This has been obvious from all the breakdowns on the polling data. Plus they continue to oversample liberals.

The GOP has 6 months to energize the base in those areas where there are competitive races. We are not going to lose the Senate or the House.

I don't think people here are nearly as interested in roasting him for his problems, as they are just sick and tired of his entire family's behavior....

1) this guy has had MULTIPLE problems, but it seems his "seeking treatment" is not really about changing his life or behavior- but more a mere going through the motions in order to evade accountability so he can keep his job and continue his behavior

2) The Cover-up is the most disturbing.

3) The lies about this incident is just insulting to our intelligence...(I never asked for special treatment- but I don't remember a thing........I was not drinking- but no comment on if I was at the club you hear of in the news......

4) And of course the MOST insulting thing to us, is the MEDIA's handling of the situation...no focus on PATTY.. NO! they focus on "the dangers of Ambien" and the battle of police turf between older officers that embrace special treatment for the elitists (protecting the politicos instead of the PEOPLE), and the new blood who have their hands tied form doing their jobs....

can you imagine...becoming a police officer and then realizing that your are really just mere body guards and servants of the people who think they are ABOVE the laws you thought you were supposed to be ENFORCING?

UGH!
