Moussaoui Gets Life in Prison (No Death Penalty for the Ranting Jihadist Looney Tune)

A federal jury decided Wednesday al-Qaida conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui deserves life in prison for his role in the deadliest terrorist attack in U.S. history, on Sept. 11, 2001.

On the seventh day of deliberation, the jury of nine men and three women informed Judge Leonie Brinkema that it had reached a decision. The verdict was announced at 4:30 p.m. EDT.

Moussaoui, a 37-year-old Frenchman of Moroccan descent, is the only person charged in this country in connection with the suicide jetliner hijackings that killed nearly 3,000 people at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a Pennsylvania field.

The verdict came after four years of legal maneuvering and a six-week trial that put jurors on an emotional roller coaster.

The panel of northern Virginia residents was shown gruesome never- before-released images of the carnage that day, heard the first public playing of the cockpit recorder from United Flight 93 whose passengers tried to retake the jet over Pennsylvania, and watched and listened as dozens of victims and relatives described the horrors and losses they had endured.

The nine men and three women deliberated about 40 hours. They had found Moussaoui eligible for execution after more than 16 hours of deliberations in late March and early April.

Although he was in jail on immigration violations on Sept. 11, the jury ruled that lies he told federal agents the month before the attacks kept the government from identifying and stopping some of the hijackers.

My idea would be to have him in a 12x12 cage with minimum subsistence food and water, and nothing more.
What is sad...He will probably live the "Life of Riley"
in some federal playpen.

"he'll get a prayer rug, halal meals, a koran etc. etc..anyone wanna bet?"

To be sure. And even more. The ACLU and the leftist media will make sure he's treated like the jihadist celebrity he will be for years to come, a continuing thorn in our side. This country is indeed headed down hill at an ever accelerating pace.

Geeee... these jurors must a bunch of lefties!... and the pattern continues, many in this country completetely oblivious to what is going on. One day we'll have something terrible happen and theses a--es, can't still bring themselves to see the world for what it is.

Just sad for the people who died and did not have a chance to wake up one more day.. and this ugly piece of garbage... gets to keep living and I am sure become an important figure for the left... for the hate America crowd. And we wonder why we have an invasion going on now?... We don't seem to have the b--- to defend anything anymore.

I am disgusted!

Unless he's released pursuant to some demand by Muslims who have occupied an American embassy and are killing their hostages one by one until he's freed.

On the one hand, I'm pleased that he's denied his martyrdom. On the other, I don't think his sorry carcass should be using up space, air, and food on this planet. Perhaps a better penalty (forever denied because of our alleged "civilized" condition) would be to put him in a burning building with no way for him to escape, and just let the flames and smoke slowly do to him what his compadres did to our people.

I say make him experience hell on earth while he's in federal prison; make him wish he was dead. That's the only harsher punishment. Also, until the day he dies of "natural causes," feed the jihadist animal only pork. Are you kidding? Every day this piece of sh-t sits in prison he'll be granting interviews to the lapdogs in the media telling how he's been tortured and his Koran pissed on. The media will lap it up like the America haters they are, report how abused the poor dear is and Democrats in Congress will demand an investigation. Meanwhile, the UN will condemn the US for its "human rights abuses" and Amnesty International will make him their poster child. European socialist nations will hold vigils for the puke and this will be used as further evidence by leftists across the world of "America's hypocrisy" in claiming to be spreading democracy. Okay, I'm being a tad facetious, but I don't think it's far off. I just want this feces dead, dead, dead and in hell with his 72 virgin goats.

I agree. People who have no brains will think killing him would have made him a hero to the Muslims. Actually NOT killing him has made us look like weak , spineless saps to a society who respects ONLY strenght and violence. To that culture we are now not to be feared , they are laughing at our feminine court system. DISGUSTING I say . Real men would have strung his ass up outside the courtroom on national TV and used it as a warning to the rest of the Islamic scumbags out there. We're lost I tell you , LOST !!!!!

While I think this guy is a poster boy for the death penalty, in some ways this may be a better sentance. What he wanted was martyrdom ...what he is likely getting is 23 hours alone in a cell every day for the rest of his miserable life ...no 72 virgins for him. I would however hope that he would serve his time in a maximum security federal prison, but in the general population. It would be very fitting to have him being sodomized, beaten and likely knifed.

I am glad he got life. Death would be an easy out. For someone who hates America so much I can think of no worse fate than spending the rest of his miserable life in a tiny cell in an American prison.

"The jurors should be identified and roundly mocked and criticized for their cowardice."

I think they should praised for their standing up to the Government's scapegoating case against M. The Govt' wasxd very, very lucky the crazy guy pleaded guilty because the jury could have easily acquitted him on the charges the Government brought.

He wanted to be killed for what he did.

The jury said "no way, dude. You will live."

Now no jihadist can start blowing crap up in his name. His mission - - to die for Islam - - is a miserable failure. He's not a hero now to his bretheren. He's just a number in the US federal prison system. He will be jailed, silenced, and forgotten. For a psychopath like him, it is a fate worse than the death penalty.

He wouldn't know what to do with them anyway.

Since life imprisonment sometimes means something else, is he eligible for parole?
