Posted on 04/30/2006 9:38:02 PM PDT by Heartofsong83
This should be a list of who is planning to close their business on Monday, May 1 in response of the Great American Boycott. We should compile it and boycott them ourselves if possible!
Remember to go shopping or work overtime on May 1!

the reporting is ridiculously biased. the local nbc affiliate (live footage at www.nbc11.com) is zooming in on the american flag, trying ignore the gigantic mexican flag right in front of it. but they can't seem to crop it out!

Okay, I haven't read the thread yet, but I just got back from Wal-Mart where I spent $220...not big items, just a lot of stuff.
Anyway, I was surprised. There were NO Mexicans...I mean, think I counted three among the customers.
The shopping was like heaven, but the checking out was the deepest region of hell. Apparently a lot of the staff were on "leave" and the lines were long.
I really wish the store was like that all the time! It was so great. But I'm sure Wal-Mart doesn't agree.
By the way, this is in a Texas town where us white trash are the minority.

...the leftists and anarchists usually get in the crowd and stir things up. ANSWER is reportedly at the head of the march here in Los Angeles. Guaranteed some of the same people that rioted in Seattle in the '90s.

Not even the ones breaking the law? Get real. Next they'll be protesting gravity.

I didn't realize that about Tyson until today when Laura Ingraham was raving about it.
I believe I will start noticing what brand of chicken I buy.

Well, on the "up side" of the Houston rally, where the photo of the upside down American flag is, at noon they reported only 2,000 people in attendance at the million-Manuel protest.
They hadn't started marching at that point and I was out spending money, so missed any other coverage. Nothing on local MSM stations right now.

13,169 voting.
68% = Yes, illegals should be arrested today.
32% = No, they should not be arrested.

A second group of marchers has come up Broadway -- more densely packed and moving slowly. The crowd around City Hall will double in size.
Some folks are leaving but more are coming. Vendors are doing well.
Many signs in Spanish saying (roughly translated) "Today we march tomorrow we vote"

If it's the supermarket house brand, you really won't know.

I will be gassing up both cars, going to Big Lots (the original 99 cent stores), and going to Wal Mart. I've been holding out for days to go buy all the necessary incidentals that a home needs; almost out of t.p., kleenex, laundry soap, toothpaste, etc.,etc., I just sent $150 to Jim Gilchrist of the Minutemen, and I'm taking my son and mother out to dinner tonight after work. I live in Southern California where Ralphs Grocery stores are popular. I wrote Ralphs a nice long letter and have mailed my Ralphs grocery card and keychain mini-card back to them telling them to close my account.
Denny's Restaurants support their employee also. I have since called them at their Denny's Customer Service Team at 1-800-733-6697 and told them I refuse to eat there again. Their food is marginal anyway.

We boycotted Tyson in the '90s when we learned about Tyson's unholy union with the Clintons.

What is your exact point?
There is no issue?
It's not that big an issue?
It's not worth getting excited about?
The problem's been around a long time and there is something in the air that's making us all hyperventilate?
Be specific, please.

Should we start calling burglars undocumented guests?
In that spirit, Breaking and Entering will now be referred to as "undocumented intrusion."

Yikes...keep us posted. I'm in the Inland Empire and can't get KFI here at my office. Have XM, Fox is OK, but no local news. Nothing unusual happening in our little local town.

Oh, no! Bad choice on the part of that Wendy's: the company is a major donor to the Republican Party. Tsk, tsk.
I was going to eat at Wendy's. Forget it now.

It is fantastic. Quiet, peaceful, no gardeners, i.e., no leaf blowers and all that junk. I don't drive freeways in the a.m. but heard about the beautiful light traffic.
