May 1 closures: who to boycott? Rallies (Live thread)

This should be a list of who is planning to close their business on Monday, May 1 in response of the Great American Boycott. We should compile it and boycott them ourselves if possible!

Remember to go shopping or work overtime on May 1!

I'd like to know what happens when one of these "undocumented" workers infests the foods with some third-world disease and pass it on to the rest of us. I heard a story yesterday about e-coli showing up in packaged salads. Wonder if an illegal had anything to do with that?

Two ways, 1. In our own communities, we should know at least a few who are 'on our side', but if you don't- 2. Ask.

For example, in my community, we have a Mexican Restaurant owned by a Legal Mexican Immigrant whom I've heard many a time complain about the protests and how these 'illegals' hurt legal Mexican immigrants like him because too often he is lumped in with them simply because of his nationality.

These are the type of folks we want to support.

I grew up in a small isolated Michigan village where "May day" was celebrated by making small baskets of treats and gifts and leaving them on someones doorstep...It had nothing to do with Communism or anything like that...I may be wrong, but I think someone is hijacking the original intent of mayday.

"May Day" as a celebration of spring is a separate "holiday". The socialists adopted May 1 in the late 19th century in honor of the Haymarket Riots in Chicago. A general strike was called on May 1, 1886, the riots and a bombing a few days later.

Probably most interesting from a legal perspective. The bomber was never identified, but 8 strike organizers were convicted, 7 sentenced to death, for the act based on the speaches they'd given to the crowd, not for any suspected connection to the bombing.

Whole Foods supermarkets

Went by a Whole Foods at lunch, they were open. Must be a local thing.

I just drove into work here in Los Angeles & the 10 freeway was WIDE OPEN. The 405 was bit more busy, but still NO WHERE near as crowded as usual. The bank & Post office were a quick in & out....I LOVE A DAY WITHOUT ILLEGALS! I wish it was 365 days a year.

Maybe we American workers should boycott a work day and show them what we can do to USA if we don't work ! ! ! No more Tyson Foods for my house and no other who close's today that I know of. We need to stand for this or we will no long have our freedom. If we break the law we go to jail. I told a friend of mine we should all go rob a bank and see if law will say they are to many of robbing banks so they can do nothing.

I'm on travel to the East Coast, a conference in Cambridge MA. The radio talker mentioned it in the AM, and I drove by three WF stores that were closed (early AM)- three stores in about ten blocks!

So I don't know if it's even true, just what the radio guy said. Flying out this eve, so maybe I can look into it.

It happens all the time.
I'm surprised disease isn't spread more..

For Example:
I have personally witnessed (alleged)illegals pi$$ing on the cutting floor while working.
Their excuse is that they only get one 15 minute break per shift and if they have to go to the bathroom at another time they can't leave the cutting line so they just pi$$ into the grate on the floor.
No washing hands, etc.
Just pi$$ing into the metal floor grate on which they stand.
If caught they could be fired, but I never saw that happen, even when I went off about it.

I could go on...consider that a good quarter of our plant workers had no real familiarity with indoor plumbing. Never used a toilet. No idea how such devices worked. We literally had guys coming in who had never used a toilet!

If things fall on the grate, they are washed off and put back on the line.

Many used speed to work double shifts for the "easy money". So now we have a bunch of illegals hopped up on crank using sharp knives to trim beef. Then a ruckus erupts between the Salvadorans or the Mexicans, or whatever gang is irritating the other gang....it gets real unpleasant.

I worked there as a poor white boy to pay for college, and I'm lucky I lived through it...hehe.

Manpower told their employees and made them all sign something stating that they understood that they'd get fired if they didn't go to work today.

And, my Son's school is OPEN with full attendance!!

The Mexican constitution does not allow foreigners to participate in the political affairs of the country.

That ban applies to participation in demonstrations.
