That's what I figured.
It won't be "dismissed" for 18 months though.
No matter how you dress it up.
Explains where Rush was Wednesday on his personal day off.
Per Michael Savage, NBC is also reporting Limbaugh's arrest.
Mods pulled the threads.
That comment would be most appreciated at Democratic Underground. Try it there...
I don't understand why it won't be dismissed for 18 months. I've never heard of such a thing.
News on ABC Pittsburgh channel a few minutes ago (6:20 EST): Rush Limbaugh arrested for perscription drug fraud.
That is all I have right now.
Frell? That word makes me giggle.
I just heard Rush was arrested again? Was I hallucinating or what?
I guess they are just going to keep pulling my post off.
The "Arrest" is a technicality. The press is just using to smear Limbaugh.
The STATE filed the DOCTOR SHOPPING CHARGE. Limbaugh then turned himself in -- IE HE WAS ARRESTED -- and subsequently plead "not Guilty" and then they announced the plea deal.
The ARREST is just because to formally charge him and for him to FORMALLY plead NOT GUILTY he had to be "ARRESTED" first.
Whew! I just posted a thread about him being arrested. That is all the radio news said. Now the rest of the story comes out. Thanks for getting the whole story up kristinn.
Keep reading, the conditions follow.
Dan Abrams is saying that Black's press release is a "bit" misleading. To say the least.........LOL.
I would only post my anti-air america quotes there.
I am an opponent of all talk radio.
Conservative radio commentator Rush Limbaugh has turned himself in to face fraud charges filed by the Palm Beach County State Attorney's office.Limbaugh is charged with fraud and conceling information to obtain a prescription. He is being held on $3,000 bond.
According to Limbaugh's attorney, Roy Black, the radio host has reached an agreement with the state attorney's office. Limbaugh will be charged with a single fraud count which will be dismissed after 18 months, Black says, so long as he continues to seek treatment for his drug addiction.
Limbaugh has also agreed to pay $30,000 to the state to defray the cost of the investigation, according to Black
Arrested or settled?
I'm confused
No really. Copping a plea means you plead guilty to a lesser charge. His charge will be dropped, and he will have no record or conviction. That's a face saving thing for the prosecutor, as is paying court fees.
