NEW YORK More Americans disapprove than approve of how George W. Bush, Donald Rumsfeld and Congress are doing their jobs, while a majority approves of Condoleezza Rice. President Bushs approval hits a record low of 33 percent this week, clearly damaged by sinking support among Republicans.
Opinions are sharply divided on whether Rumsfeld should resign as secretary of defense. In addition, views on the economy are glum; most Americans rate the current economy negatively, and twice as many say it feels like the economy is getting worse rather than better. These are just some of the findings of the latest FOX News national poll.
President Bushs job approval rating slipped this week and stands at a new low of 33 percent approve, down from 36 percent two weeks ago and 39 percent in mid-March. A year ago this time, 47 percent approved and two years ago 50 percent approved (April 2004).

This poll, like many polls, is way too skewed to Rats and so-called independents. However; he las lost support among republicans- one word- immigration !!!!
The wealthy are doing well, but the working class and middle class are getting screwed. Plus millions of invaders drivng down wages doesn't help either.
Rush was talking about some study yesterday that show Bush's poll numbers coordinate with the price of fuel.
"Dang... if a Fox poll has him at 33%, he's in REALLY bad shape"
That's a credit to Fox News. They don't skew their poll questions or results to what Cavuto, Hannity or Hume would want them to be.
Exactly! I can't stand it when people make those flip comments.
"1. We know who they all are
But they're already over the border, so legalizing them doesn't help to secure it."
Okay, let me try this:
1a. Everyone here now must register as a guest worker
1b. Any employer using unregistered immigrants gets smacked down
1c. Every immigrant knows they have to register if they're going to work
1d. They either register or leave.
1e. We wind up knowing who they all are after they register
I'm not saying it's perfect or that it will go off without a hitch. I'm just saying I understand the logic of it.
Excuse me, this poll is the "first" sign of trouble?
If people really had gloomy views of the economy there wouldn't be people investing in the market. Today we have the market hitting a 5 year high, home ownership is at an all time high, unemployment at 4.7%, consumer confidence contradicts this poll. Consumer confidence hit a 4 year high on Mar. 28th. If 900 randomly selected people are a better indicator than every day life than yes I would believe this poll. Think about it do 900-1005 adults speak for the whole population?
I never think of it as a single-issue, but at least 80% of my vote is given for the preservation of our national security. This involves both combatting terrorist threats, and ensuring our soveriegnty as a nation. Bush has done fine on the former, but has been beyond abysmal on the border, allowing this back-door invasion. I thought surely after 9/11, he'd see the light. To say I'm disappointed is a massive understatement.
Actually current high energy prices is good for the long run for it will allow domestic and reliable energy sources to be competitive and developed.
That's of course if the envirowhackos don't have their way, which it seems they are with you, with your constant bashing of the President.
I wouldn't sweat it. There was a phenomenom called "Clinton Fatigue" in his last years in office and I suspect it's arriving early for Bush -- because he was actually visibly doing something for his terms that was useful to the country, rather than to Monica.
I wouldn't sweat this one iota. I have seen no evidence at all this is affecting the November election, nor will it if we carefully concentrate on the districts that are vulnerable with cash and volunteer time.
If you want to obsess over illegals, then find the vulnerable districts with a strongly pro Border Control GOP candidate.
Shame.
...of course Bush still has higher approval numbers than most mainstream media outlets...
"Republican voters are going to deserve their president hillary rodham."
Sad but very true.
I add............... the traitorous dims, their leaders, MSM, RINO's and the ship jumping Republicans are going to deserve the next Terrorist attack, even if it's a Nuke.
Yeah the problem is that you wish to regulate roofing, due to what kind of "people" a contractor employs.
Did you ask your neighbors if they were satisfied with the roofing job.
OH BTW, why didn't you ask the roofers how much they were paid instead of your own innuendo.
