Well I dont get it; they are between 41KB and 144KB, maybe add to thread title "image heavy" thread? I am about a T1 and my cache is emptied and it still loads quick. I know the backbone on the west coast was having problems this morning, IIRC

that's not that big - you're right - there is some other problem.
Incredibly slow download for such a small file size, but well worth it.
It all depends. I'm hesitant because Hollywood isn't trustworthy. For example: the Pearl Harbor film from a few years ago was a first-rate piece of sh!t.
My fear about the Flight 93 movie is that it's going to be embellished hyper-melodrama like 99% of the crap that comes out of Hollywood.
If that's the case I'd prefer the movie not be made or released because then it's just an insult.
I think that most don't want to see the movie because of how vulnerable and helpless it makes them feel. It similar to a person not wanting to see a video of their mother getting raped or beaten up and you being helpless to interfere - it just gives you a sick feeling.
I certainly think that we should never forget and that it's important to keep showing videos and audio recordings just so it is fresh in our minds.
I don't know if many people can take 2 straight hours of it though.
United Airlines Flight 93 was hijacked on September 11, 2001 near Cleveland, Ohio. The aircraft crashed some time later in a field in south-western Pennsylvania. The hijackers can be heard twice mistakenly transmitting messages intended for the passengers over the Cleveland ARTCC frequency. Please note that this tape is not chronologically accurate; periods of dead air (silence) have been removed for brevity.
Download (3,965k) the aircraft's Air Traffic Control tape in WAV format.
All the "up, down" stuff was clearly talking about maneuvers meant to throw the good guys off balance as they rushed the cockpit.
Lotsa "Allah" stuff -- these guys were clearly scared.
I could compress the images and rehost/repost it, I guess...
Thanks. Not so adept at posting.

(and delete the earlier post)
You could but I now think it was a server bandwidth problem or net glitch.
Words....America must get focused.
Thanks to all FReepers posting images/links from the ill-fated Flight 93.
I intend to see the movie. Given all the pansy whining over just the trailer, I hold hopes that the film will be accurate as to the true nature of our enemy.
That said, the film will probably contain some quotes from the Hijackers like "let's twist the noble faith of Islam to our own evil ends" and one of the passengers fighting back will be a Muslim, etc.
bolded text equals arabic.
Marking for later reading.
'Islamic terrorism' is too emotive a phrase, says EU |

The movie about Flight 93 that aired recently on A&E set a high standard, IMO.
