What, did their spin-doctors already show them how they were losing this issue?

I think people are complaining about their motives rather than appearances.
Carrying the American flag today was a ruse. Emails were sent out telling the organizers all the mexican flags was bad press. They adjusted their propaganda for the media effect.
The absurdest part is the pic of %100 European Che alongside of the sign.

It looks like the Republican party wants to replace the Dems as the party of the super-rich and super-poor.
And the middle class gets the shaft yet again.
(I should be used to it, every time I go to the grocery store I look at all the neat items the welfaristas "buy" and wish I could afford even half of it.)

I just mentioned the water because it was reported last night the the city of Phoenix was providing water for the demonstrators. All I can say is, I am happy that my neighbors either stayed home (self employed and no business I guess) or went to work and school today.
The more pressure we keep on Mexico, immigration-wise, the more reformers
inside of Mexico can be emboldened and empowered to scale back monopolists'
abuses down there which keep our own country flooded with economic refugees.

They carry them because they were handed out. They were strangely identical.
There were some very enterprising people selling Mexican and other Latin flags. They were selling quite well.
I know what you mean. I can't tell you how many times I seen cookies, candy, soda and steak...yes, packages of steaks, all piled on the counter just to see them swipe their Louisiana Purchase card through the machine.
Crap. Now the Antiwar freaks will use this tactic.

It ain't rocket science...even a moron could see that one, and the people behind these protests completely overlooked it last time.
Which says something about them. But even idiocy can overcome intelligence through persistence and stubborn doggedness, if not met with persistence and stubborn doggedness by the intelligent.
It is pretty clear. I would not read genuineness into the fact that they may have had a little American flag, or that they sang the National Anthem.
Liberals (and that is overwhelmingly who many of these people are, or at least who they would be likely to vote for if they gained citizenship) understand intuitively that they cannot show their true face to the American public.
This is precisely why there was so much angst among the Democrats in August, September and October 2002, leading up to the vote that was held three weeks before the midterm elections. The President forced their hand, and put them in a position to: 1.) Reveal their true face to the voters or, 2.) Lie, hold their nose, and say they supported the troops.
Chicken$hits that they are, many of them lied and were fairly transparent about it. I see the same thing with many of these people. Even if they are die-hard La Raza members, they would hold their nose, wave the flag and sing the National Anthem of the USA.
Remember what the principles of the liberals are, as exemplified by the Clinton administration when it came into power, in the opinion of Gary Aldrich in his book "Unlimited Access": Saul D. Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals: A Practical Primer for Realistic Radicals". This book was the handbook for the Clintonistas. It is as foul and despicable a set of guidelines for behavior as there ever was. Boiled down, the ends ALWAYS justify the means. Always.
And this whole issue of ILLEGAL immigrants is just one more example of how they operate.
