We Support Our Troops! For the freedom you enjoyed yesterday... Thank the Veterans who served in The United States Armed Forces.
No greater love hath a man than to give his life for his friends.
FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT: Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allies military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.
On Valentine's Day, we celebrate love. Usually we celebrate the love between a man and a woman. However, there are many faces of love, and I believe that our men and women who serve or have served in our armed forces are the epitome of love. The sacrifice, the caring, the hardships--they endure all because they believe in our country, they believe in defending her people, and they believe in the rights for which our forefathers fought so adamantly. I dedicate this thread to recognizing the faces of love that these fine folks show to us in so many ways. God bless each of them. |

They still rave about that to this day.
I still groan when remembering I had to ride in a small space in the backseat of a small car, most of the way!

Happy Valentine's Day troops!! Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Today was my first day back at school (yea!) and I even made it through the day without trouble (double yea!) only to discover that there's no point in making it home if you don't have the keys to unlock the door (Woops!). Fortunately, the back doors were unlocked and I was able to make it in that way. Anyway, here is today's humor attempt!
A young woman was taking an afternoon nap. After she woke up, she told her husband, "I just dreamed that you gave me a pearl necklace for Valentine's day. What do you think it means?"
"You'll know tonight." he said.
That evening, the man came home with a small package and gave it to his wife. Delighted, she opened it--only to find a book entitled "The meaning of dreams".

I'm fine, thanks. How are you? The music is great. It's getting warmer here. Which is nice. I liked having the snow but I have had enough, it can melt now. :)

Ah, I see. Painting 101, or the second year?? Portrait painting or still life.
I have a graphic I made in class for a child's book I was writing.
The graphic depicts The Moose and The Mayor. It's a two page spread, and had printed text on the pages. You know printed out on clear sheets.
The Moose and The Mayor was a piece I wrote for my grands long ago. Each year we went on a different adventure. The kids loved it. Then they grew up-end of story.
