Posted on 02/06/2006 6:08:53 AM PST by ken5050
Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..

I'm not too worried about Obama - not in 08 anyway. He can be skewed on his lack of experience in anything when imagined that he would be 2nd in commmand of the sole super power.

CSPAN is now replaying from the Stakeout camera....Sessions introduces Burlingame.....

Completely right. It is pure projection.
Everyone should feel really good about the way these hearings are going. The Democrats are blowing it again.

It is starting to look like Republicans have finally figured out how to fight. After Roberts and Alito, it appears that Republican Senators have grown a pair.

Debra Burlingame the wife of a 9-11 pilot who was removed, killed and had his plane crashed into a building is speaking.
She says that there were conversations happening that were not being monitored that could have prevented her husband's death and 9-11.
She says she fears it appears people are being complacent, they are forgetting there was an 8 and a half year gap between the first and second attacks on the twin towers.
She likes the program the President is using and thinks it is vital to the safety and interests of this country.
She's spot on IMO.

And, since the country doesn't believe the MSM anymore, it really doesn't matter what they say. Far more important is what gets broadcast on Rush and Hannity.Only if you are a conservative. Dims very much still listen to the MSM and that is what they are counting on for getting back the House in '06

Can Bush Order a Killing on U.S. Soil

Above the law?
Nothing seems above the law with Bush. There may be an "clause" that in time of war a President can order a hit. With a more responsible government I might even be convinced; but when Cindy Sheehan is arrested for a t-shirt, Americans better wake up.
This is what these people are trying to do:
Create the IMPRESSION that everything Bush is doing is to watch Americans, KILL Americans, and create the Great Gulag for Liberals.......

She asked the same stupid questions and whined about the same stupid things as last week during the Intelligence Committee hearings.
She already knows why only the heads of the committees were briefed. It's called leaks! They were told point-blank last week that the last time the whole committee was briefed that it wasn't a day before leaks came out and that is why they only tell the heads of committees, period.

FOFL!! ... Seems Diane didn't read the whole quote from the PresidentA caller to Hugh Hewitt challenged him about this "lie" spoken at a town meeting by President Bush, then said that he had heard it many times on Air America. Out of context sound bites is one of the left's mainstays. I am glad to hear its context...roving wiretaps.

no, I didn't see it. I have my back to the tv.
