Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..
Frankenstein says Administration says it doesn't have to follow the law. Says Intel Committe has not been briefed, blah, blah, blah, we know nothing about the program except what we read iin the papers (and that's a lot, eh, DiFi?)...
Someone please inform feinstein that the U.S constitution IS LAW!!!
Knew I was going to catch something like that when I hit post. :o)
"My question is how Feinstein is going to somehow bring Roe into the discussion about wiretapping????
Anyone? anyone?"
It will involve the privacy act..blahblahblah...lol
Feinstein LIES that congress hasn't been briefed on the issue.
She must've been lambasted after Alito. She's flailing wildly.
Gonzalez quietly challenges her lies.
Feinstein: It comes as a huge shock when the president said in Buffalo last year that anytime you hear about a wiretap, it comes with a court order. (Trying to catch the president in a lie but isn't this the same group of people that didn't mind that Clinton lied).
This statement appears to be false, don't you agree?
Gonzales: No, Senator, I don't agree. He said he was referring to roving wiretaps. That discussion was about the Patriot Act and just before he made that statement you referred to, he used the words "roving wiretaps".
As you know, the president is not a lawyer, but it was a discussion about roving wiretaps and it's unfair to take his statements out of context.
Feinstein- "Fair enough, let me move along"
translation- I'm an uninformed boob.
FOFL!! ... Seems Diane didn't read the whole quote from the President
In today's parlance, Feinstein got SERVED.
Tomorrow's NYT headline "Gonzales Hints of Additional Existing Programs to Spy on Americans"
Feinstein BACKED OFF immediately with just a simple answer from Gonzalez.
Diane is a weenie.
Gonzalez..smacks Feinstein..round goes to Gonzalez.
MAJOR BITCHSLAP!
Feinstein: If the president determines that questions posed to you, does the authorization for the use of military force authorize you to provide false answers?
Gonzales: Of course not.
Wow...good slam down by Al right there.
Did she just accuse him of lying in all that rambling?

Feinstein wants "yes or no" answers.
Feinsteni: You have posed a radical theory.
Oh, that's rich. The radicals are on your side of the aisle, Feinstein.
