Good morning, all.
Join us today for the final victory lap, the vote to "confirm Samuel Alito, of New Jersey, to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court."
It's all over except the final vote tally.
Lots of surprises yesterday at the HUGE vote to impose cloture, so perhaps there are still some surprise votes to come?

I think it's because of all the jockeying back and forth to the cloak rooms.....we once sat in the gallery and watched the vote on something (about 12 years ago).....and the Senators spent more time walking back and forth from that room (conferring in private, there) as the vote took place.

Landrieu and Rockefeller are the only two "undeclared". For the mere sake of fending off the hatred from their base, I wonder if the (D)s want 60 affirmative votes?

Did anyone accuse Justice Alito of killing Coretta Scott King? Nah but if anyone had posted it on the DUmp I'm sure DUmpin Durbin would have.
I've noticed he gets most of his talking points from there.
