Good morning, all.

Join us today for the final victory lap, the vote to "confirm Samuel Alito, of New Jersey, to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court."

It's all over except the final vote tally.

Lots of surprises yesterday at the HUGE vote to impose cloture, so perhaps there are still some surprise votes to come?

Can someone tell me more about the "Sandra Day O'Connor Seat" on the Supreme Court? It's been mentioned by more than one Democrat Senator, yet I've not heard of it before. Is this like an endowed chair at a college? Just curious ... (ok, I'm being facetious)

Typical Cave Jr. By my watch, they have less than 3 minutes of that hour left; of course, they'll extend and extend and delay, deny and obfuscate.

Sessions gave a few minutes at the start. Frist was brief, as expected. HE called for the vote, and the vote is on ...

Chafee is voting no? WHY????

Really kind of funny. Snowe announced her intention of voting YES. Tha makes Chafee the only defection. With the rumors going around about the gay Republican Senator being blackmailed, it sort of puts the spotlight on Chafee.

He's proving what a dumbass he is...that's his ONLY talking points...she was his recommendation...I think he felt she could be easily moved to the left once she got on the court 'cause of lack of knowledge and experience with our constitution....he was probably right...thank Our Lord for Alito!!! Thank you President 41st & 43rd.

I believe the best use of First's time is to let Reid ramble.

If your opponent is digging himself into a hole, let him keep digging.
