Good morning, all.

Join us today for the final victory lap, the vote to "confirm Samuel Alito, of New Jersey, to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court."

It's all over except the final vote tally.

Lots of surprises yesterday at the HUGE vote to impose cloture, so perhaps there are still some surprise votes to come?

That "reproductive rights" crap has no merit whatsoever.

They have the "right" to have a child, or a "right" not to. The difference is, they don't understand they have a responsibility to be accountable for their actions ie; sexual activity, birth control. Abortion is not a form of birth control!

They disgust me.

Speaking of large, has anyone seen Bridgette Quinn on Fox today? She's sporting some 80's big hair.

I have a really hard time listening to her for very long. I don't know what it is about her, but I find her annoying as heck.

But I think for a woman her age she is beautiful (and natural)

Beauty is skin deep, but UGLY goes clear to the bone. And Ann Wrinkles and Molly Ivins are two of the butt-ugliest women through and through that you will ever encounter. They are indeed two rotten peas in a festering pod.

Sen. Charles Schumer, a New York Democrat, said, "I must say that I wish the president was in a position to do more than claim a partisan victory tonight."

"The union would be better and stronger and more unified if we were confirming a different nominee, a nominee who could have united us more than divided us," Schumer said.

Why don't you just say what you really mean Chuck Schmucky. "The union would be better and stronger and more unified if we were confirming a different nominee, a nominee who could have united us more than divided us would have supported killing unborn babies, supported gay marriage, and supported every left wing radical policy that we cannot pass in the legislature. We need a liberal court to do our work for us"

Come now.

It all has to do with the Dems in the Gang of 14...really believing Frist has the guts to go "constitutional" on them, but some covered themselves by saying Alito was not an "extreme circumstance".

Can we start oppressing women and minorities yet?

Only after we make birth control illegal, send everyone with dangerous thoughts to re-education camps and kill some kittens. Then minorities and woman. Then the environment. Didn't you receive your Rovian implant instructions?

P.S. Senator Kennedy, if you are reading this, this is "Satire".

Thanks, but you missed one. (Just keepin 'em all together here):

There once was a fat pair of thighs,
Whose limits, she thought, were the skies,
But when she looked down,
No voters around,
So now she just waddles and cries.

(For use after 2008.)

Yep, ugly is as ugly does! I think Mrs. Alito, and Laura Bush are two of the most beautiful middle-age women in the world, physically as well as soulfully!

Goodness does indeed tend to show-through!

And ClancyJ

I'm sorry. It even surprised me at how the picture effected me. Yes, the donor was cruel and arrogant. It's not something I think about on a daily basis. I am so blessed in so many ways.

I am so glad Alito has been confirmed.

Hugs back to you,

Tess

The era of the stealth candidate began when Robert Bork was defeated 42-58. It ends today with Alito being confirmed 58-42
