FWIW, the third Judiciary Committee Dim who voted for Roberts was Leaky Leahy himself.

Ann never disappoints in her writing.
When she said that I was glad I had the VCR on record. Nobody ever picked up on it!!!
She was mad at Bush for his tax cuts...
I was noticing her hair doesn't move. AQUANET. LOL!
Aguanet does not make that little tight flippy on the side. I would suspect her hair has a nest of some sort in there. CA should be proud their enviromental rep is so good to the air.
And too old for Jeri Curls.

Green Party Rival Mocks Feinstein
Radio Commercial Lays Blame For Hole In Ozone Layer On Her Hair Spray
by Mark Simon
Borrowing ideas and slogans from both ends of the past century, Green Party U.S. Senate candidate Medea Benjamin has published a political manifesto and begun running radio ads, one of which makes fun of incumbent U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein's hairstyle.
The ad about Feinstein's hair, titled ``Hair Spray'' in Benjamin's news release, features a male announcer reading a would-be news bulletin:
``This just in from Washington. The National Oceanographic and Space Agency reports that the hole in the ozone layer has doubled in size due to all the hair spray used by Senator Dianne Feinstein over many, many years.''
The ad concludes with Benjamin's new slogan: ``Think different. No, really think different. Vote Green. Vote Medea Benjamin for Senate.''
"Sen Tom Coburn will be on C-span-1's Washington Journal call-in show from 8:40-9:00 am today... "
8:40-9:00 in WHAT TIME ZONE.
I suspect it is EST but not all of us live in EST. We (real Americans) who are blessed to NOT have to live on the yeast coast also have different time zones.
< rant/ >
Serially folks, when you post a time reference, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE note the time zone.
I can't begin to predict how a U.S. Senator will act, except Ted kennedy. But if Alito were to get a Dem vote out of Committee ( though not convinced it'll happen), imo, Kohl would be a likely choice. Wisconsin was close last presidential election. That is why Feingold and Kohl voted for Roberts. Feingold is running for President so unlikely he'll vote for Alito despite the closeness of his state. Voting for Roberts to replace rehnquist is forgiveable. The hard left is unlikely to forgive Alito for O'Connor. Kohl isn't running for President, he needs to only consider how voting against Alito could come back to haunt him if his state continue to drift right.
when does this hearing turn into an intervention for Ted Kennedy?
Schumer: Dear Ted, I like you but I can't condone your behavior. In the past couple years you've done things to hurt me and other people love you. If you can't get better, I can't be around you.
ROFL!
that was funny!
A democrat does NOT understand FEDERALISM!
I don't think half of these people know what they are doing..I watch the Senate...and believe me...those aides are kept hopping...and even prompting them during speeches.
I am serious...it is scary when you really listen to them..they are just "winging it" a lot of the time..
Therefore inconsistencies have GOT to be the rule.
Thanks!
