Someone needs to ask Durbin why abortion is a "hard, painful, tragic" decision? If it's not murder, why is it so "hard, painful, and tragic"? Why is it not a good thing? If a woman needs her appendix taken out, I would tell her to have it removed and I would consider that a good thing. Why is abortion any different?

When an issue continues to arise in litigation for over 30 years, then obviously, there is a question as to whether or not it has been "settled." The Dims are the ones with the closed minds.

The Constitution is "The law of the Land" and is inviolate. Courts however can and do screw up and therefor SCOTUS must overrule "stare decisis" when they do.

Does Durbin think Alito has a crystal ball, to know whether Roe will be considered settled in the future?

Anyone doubt that the likes of Abrams, Dershowitz, and assorted other elite minds from the left will be firing questions to the dem sinators. Count on Toobin and other slimes to reframe yesterday's questions to put Alito in the worst possible light.

DId Roberts say Roe is "settled law" in his Supreme Court hearing, or was that when he was up for the appeals court position?

Boiled down, this hearing is all about death. The cult of death and murder (abortion) is personified in the Dem ghouls sitting on this committee.

Death by abortion is at the basis of every question they ask, even "what time is it?".

Several of the brain-dead, over-the-hill Democrat Lords even look like they've been embalmed already, with only TV makeup giving a clue they're still breathing.

I don't agree, because the minute that Miers was yanked, Bush woke up, started fighting back, and his poll numbers have rebounded.

I am infuriated by this ridiculous canard by Biden and others that we must have ideological balance on the court. Wrong again, Biden. That's what elections are for. I don't recall any such standard or alarm when a liberal (Ginsburg) replaced a moderate/conservative (Byron White).

Call Democratic senators offices and raise Hell.

"Does anyone now disagree with the conservatives who pushed hard to get Harriet Miers withdrawn?

"Believe it or not, there are still a good number who remain bitter about that. Bwahahahahaha!!!!"

I really do not appreciate your characterization and apparent glee in your response. I am very happy with this nomination.

I will never forget or forgive the treatment of some of the conservative pundits towards Miss Meiers. Some of them have lost me as an audience member for good.
