I think Graham is showboating.He's a senator. By definition he's a showboater.

They all do that... they make a 10min statement, then stare at him for a response.
If they begin to see where he is going and its not into their 'trap' they interrupt and reframe the question, or move on if they know they're beat.
Seriously... up and down the dems have done that all day.

Schumer's questioning is actually GREAT news for us. He's all over the place, he's afraid of Alito's answers, and he is playing to the media.
Its a show, and there is no substance.

"ah ha! that was Justice Thomas! he fooled the Senate before!" ROFLMAO"
I'm sure somebody would try that one, if they thought they could get away with it.

I think Lindsay Graham was helping Alito by preparing him for Schumer's line of attack.

Schumer is a "male" version of Barbara Boxer. Get him a wig and we couldn't tell the difference. They both do opinionated babbling and don't really ask questions.

Of course Alito can not answer them, but he did look a little hesitant and makes me worry about exactly where he stands. That is the reason Harriett Miers was the 1st nominee and why Alito is sitting there now vs. Luttig (who already ruled against admin.)
To: Pukin Dog
PD.....its over.
Alito is in.

Once someone starts running around declaring others guilty by association with other people they don't like...they have absolutely no substantive philosophy with which to do battle.
Chuck is dressing up high school cliquish behavior as intellectual purity and hoping no one will notice.

"Shut up Schumer."
Just surfed over to SPITball chrissy and BOY O BOY, you'd think the easter bunny came early this year!! O'Donnell(whatever that witch's name is) and FARTBOY chrissy are all smiles over the Abramoff(sp?) scandal! You'd think Chrissy and whatever her name is, had just won the BILLION dollar lottery!!
To: mware
Chuck is simply reading crap being handed to him by some group. This is so shallow and absurd.
