ALITO CONFIRMATION HEARINGS
Questioning Begins Today
Each of the eighteen senators on the Judiciary Cmte. will have 30 minutes to question Supreme Court nominee Samual Alito today during round one. Sen. Arlen Specter, as chairman, will begin, then they will alternate by party in order of individual seniority. Round two starts on Wednesday.
Vanguard was asking, "Do we put the money in customer A's account? or customer B's account?" Vanguard stood to gain or lose nothing as a result of the decision. Vanguard was not a defendant in the sense that people would think of "a defendant."
I wonder if Wulf Blitzo can understand that?
Sorry...Helen Thomas holds the top three UGLY spots.....
Generous maternity plans were cut dramatically after this was passed in order to deal with the wider range of mandated issues.
It is unreasonable for an employer to be required to keep a job open for a year. That's painful, especially to a small business.
Blitzer ought to take a look at the pols Vanguard has donated to. That should shut him up.
On abortion..not tur....did you hear Graham, Brownback, and Coburn yesterday?..They all but dared the Dems to fiulabuster...GOP really has their s**t together this time..EVERY GOP senator is using his time to rebut the lies the previous Dem told, and/or to give Alito time to flesh out and expand on his comments...beautiful job across the board..
I enjoyed DeWine's explaination of the Vangard case. It was two people against each other and Vangard was the mutual fund that each one wanted. Vangard just needed to know, who do we send the money to?
oo! do share!
Nonsense. SL just hovers over the Fox feed with her little axe and lowers the boom from time to time, that is, when she is not burning down Clichy-sous-Bois.
You're right!!
And I know plenty of women who take their leave (and their pay!) then quit to stay home with the new baby as soon as the FMLA is up.
This is great to read. I'm so proud of them!
Hi, Peach!
40 years (1968-2008). Two Democrat Presidents (3 terms out of 10). There's a reason. Gives me hope for the American people.
He is laying down a complete SMACKDOWN...
The only problem I have is that he's doing it too calmly and therefore it won't get ANY play at all on the MSM tonight.
Sweet! Thanks for posting. :)
Bwahahaha
I think I must have magical powers by this time to make the feed break.
But what no one has explained to me is, if I am the one hosting the Thread and pinging the Snowflakes, why would I break the feed?
LOL
Where does she find the time?
:-)
I wish I could list it...
He read these ridiculous statements about O'Conner that some leftist wrote and read the quotes first... then he said something like "I think you'll be surprised that the person being described is none other than Sandra Day O'Connor, the Justice that was praised early today by my colleagues from the left." (paraphrased)....
He nailed them... HARD.
That's what the rats want with their activist leftist jurist.
Based on the dems logic, any case related to the IRS would be in limbo since everyone would have to recuse him(her)self.
I didn't know that deWhiner had it in him.....his pet project seems to be the ADA.....ooops, now to congress mandating laws.....never mind
