LOL, Cboldt, don't tell me you have figured out to go there.
Thanks...
Kennedy probably got Alito mixed up with some mobster the Kennedys knew.
My sentiments too. This whole theatric performance reminds me of the Pygmies tying down Gulliver.
Nov. 4, 2005 - Democrats shouldn't filibuster Samuel Alito's nomination to the Supreme Court unless he really bungles the hearings. The votes aren't there, and moderates don't have the stomach for an all-out war over spousal notification. By a margin of nearly 3-to-1 according to a Pew Research Center poll, the public sides with the position Alito took in 1991 when he upheld as constitutional a provision in a Pennsylvania law that required women to notify their husbands before obtaining an abortion.Alito is not a wild-eyed originalist who channels the Founding Fathers, but he is very conservative and will vote with Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas.
Kennedy says ... Judges are selected by and with the consent of the Senate ???
Good ol' Chuck Grassley. :)
Honest to GOD...now I'm LOLing...Kennedy is a CARICATURE of himself. I simply can't take him seriously.
Alley Oh Toe.
I mean really.
Smart woman (on that observation)...God I can't believe I ever said that about her. But she is right...if the nuke option happens the next nominee could get through easily, Judge Brown.
The staff forgot to write it phonetically for the Orca.
Oops, figured out to go there=figured out HOW to go there. Laughing along with Grassley's beginning remarks.
Grassley is up.
"I have a much more positive view of Judge Alito."
Anybody know who laughed when he said that?
Alley Oh Toe.
I mean really.
I did hear Kennedy chuckle
``With President George W. Bushs approval rating at 35 percent in the latest CBS poll,```
huh?
Hehehe. Not exactly. But it is useful to understand opposition use of terms in order to avoid arguments of sophistry, and in order to win arguments on the merits.
