I have created a website with the sole purpose of gaining support for my cause to achieve "Lawful Permanent Residency" (Green card) in the USA. I hope to achieve this by having a relief of bill submitted to a Congressman and have it presented in Congress. By becoming a Lawful Permanent Resident in the USA I will be able to fullfill a dream, namely to enlist in the US. Army.
Please visit my website,ArborLibertatis, to read more about this and sign my support list.
But who are you? You don't expect me to go to the links you provide and spend time searching for clues about who you are, do you?
Please tell me on your website who you are and why I might want to consider supporting you. Your site at present isn't providing enough information for anybody to do anything.
You could be al Qaeda for all I know.
Despite your spotty posting history, you have been here a couple years. Why not make your case on the forum instead of trying to get folks to your website. That might work better.
I agree with you. There is something funny to this story because I am in the military and there are quite a few people that sign up and after (I think 5 years) they receive their citizenship. Your right we definitely need more information before we can even begin to think about supporting this cause. It just seems strange to me.
You're either a lurker/troll or just ignorant. You can join the military tomorrow; you can apply for your citizenship after three years, if you can handle a military life:
EXPEDITED CITIZENSHIP THROUGH MILITARY SERVICE
Under current immigration law, non-citizens must serve in the U.S. military for three years before they are eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship. However, during times of war, a President can issue an executive order, allowing non-citizens on active duty to become eligible for citizenship before completing the three-year service, senior administration officials said.
President Bush issued such an Order in July 2002 that allows certain non-citizens serving honorably in active duty status in the Armed Forces of the U.S. in the war against terrorism to be eligible for expedited naturalization. Expedited naturalizations are permitted under a section of the law that eliminates residence and physical presence requirements under certain conditions. In order to be eligible, a person must have served on active duty status on or since September 11, 2001 in the war against terrorism. The President will set the end date of eligibility, likely when the hostilities end.

I don't know if it's you specifically, or if you are merely referencing the website, but I do not believe LPR status is required for enlistment in the Armed Services. I'll go check, but I believe it's the quickest way to get LPR status.
You are confusing green cards with visas.
I was just thinking the same.
If he knew anything about the US and the Laws here, he would know to go to the Consulate/Embassy to obtain a Green card application.
I work for $250.00 a day. Send me a weeks advance and I'm yours
Its not about citizenship. In order to be in the military in the first place, you need permanent resident status (green card).
That is correct. You get a visa from your embassy before you arrive in hte US and a green card after you arrive
The phone green, I pink it up, and say "Yellow?"
Bottom line is, sign on the dotted line at the Recruiting Office, and Uncle will take care of the rest. [chuckling]
Being married to a US citizen makes all the difference in the world. Maybe we need to find Wooley an american wife ;)
But your husband was already a citizen, yes? That makes all the difference.
I bet this thread gets pulled for solicitation.
