A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day

Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.

Hi sweetie.. looks like some HTML lessons I can use..The cell spacing/padding have been confusing to me & I have played around with numbers/experimenting. Nice to know about the default..

Will check out more later.. because my head is exploding - super bad headache that has grown all day, I need to try to sleep right now & will look later.. just got in.. more murphy here again... new thread might not go up until late monring but this is a lovely one to keep going with til then..

Great to see you today. Billie has explained cellspacing and the defaults to me at least 3 times and I still get it wrong on occasion.

I should start a new document labeled "Table Setting Hints".

Thanks for the info. I think I sort of understand about the cell padding. It's boxes inside of boxes, and the distance you put between them? I might be able to make a text file. I think for me the problem with computers is understanding the language. When a task is explained to me in english I can usually get it. My son can't teach me a thing about computers because he is obviously speaking a foreign language LOL.

I think I know what a text file is. Isn't that the same as my document files in Microsoft Word? It would be funny if it weren't so sad. The only thing I know about computers is how to navigate Free Republic just enough to read and post, and how to type up my sermons and print them. Occasionally I play Free Cell. Sad. Downright pitiful.

I did not go out in the end because the death certificate became available PM and still had not been able to get hold of the registry office there really was no point as I would not have the copies of the death certificate for the various people.
