LONG LIVE RED CHINA (Would you like your troll mein with soft or crispy noodles?)

China will never go down, and don't think you can banish communism. Because the people won't let it. They know they are the last standing, they are the only ones left. America is in a decline while China's climaxing, America will go down. We are just done with our prime, if anything, we were going into a depression since 1992 (and don't say you don't know that year). Communism is the American's medias' worst nightmare, because of censorship. I hope we all have to read one newspaper and wipe my butt with one brand of tiolet paper. I hope we all die for our next generations to wear the red armband. We deserved 9/11, and they enjoyed it. You probably hate me now, I know, you just still think like its 1945, well too bad its 2005. We only stand to fall.

it may have been that your car had no A/C

That's entirely possible!

I remember crossing the Mojave in CA several times with no A/C...watching people stopped by the roadside with the hoods popped and a cloud of steam from the radiator...sticnky stuff, that. And the breeze that came in the window was hotter than it would have been if we had been stopped, because it picked up the heat from the asphalt as well as from the engine. And we always felt dirty...

It won't fit. Oh well the search for the perfect tag line continues.

Swiped!

Someday I will figure out how to fit this in a tagline.

“First, you are drunk. Second, this is not a waltz, it is the Peruvian national anthem. And third, I am not a woman, I am the Cardinal Archbishop of Lima.”

How about: 1. You are drunk. 2. This is not a waltz. 3. I am not a woman; I'm the Cardinal Archbishop of Lima.

To: All; yall

Welp, since I got stupid last night and stayed up WAY late, I need to go to bed so I can function half-way decently tomorrow.

I'm still not even unpacked, and that's pretty sad because I only took one small suitcase...:o[

Tomorrow!

Thank you. Do you know the story behind it?

I meant what I said! ;o]

LOL, 'Face! I know you did, and if you were in a position to do it... I wouldn't let you. A decade of technical standards committees, and much of that running one or another, has rather inured me to the rigors. You know, things like trying to run the meeting efficiently when you've been up all the night before, face in tub thanks to food poisoning from the wretched spread some company put out at their hospitality suite... It's a difficult and sometimes dangerous job, sitting on a committee!

But the reason I laugh is the phrase you used: many years ago my girlfriend in college and I were having an argument, and she said exactly that followed by, "and I said what I meant!"

Well, to understand what happened next you have to understand that we were both conservatives far from our respective natively-conservative American cultures, isolated in this terribly far-left left-coast university. For me the left coast culture had been an unhappy fact of life for a decade, but for her it had only been a few weeks and she was freshly hating it.

So I couldn't help myself (knowing she was Republican too), I just had to respond: "And an elephant's faithful, one hundred per cent!"

End of argument, dissolve to laughter.

She said that was the point she knew we were going to marry.

It just took me a few months more to figure that out for myself.

(Was "Dr. Suess" inherently conservative? I've seen an analysis or two, one in the WSJ this week or last, that implies such.)

I'm still not even unpacked,

A week from tomorrow I return home. And in about 15 minutes after entering the house I will be fully unpacked: dirty clothes in the hamper, anything clean put away, all the work material in the laptop bag, and the suitcase(s) and backpack back in the closet.

Can you tell I have way too much practice?

As soon as my kids are eligible, each will be sent off to one of these driving school programs for at least a 1-day course in REAL driving skills. The way I see it, I'm putting them in command of a two-ton chunk of iron and plastic, and that means there's an inherent obligation on my part to see to it that they get adequate instruction.

I'm not going to let them take risks and sorta learn it by experimentation out on the streets like I did (and prayed Mom never found out).

I'm doing okay.
But I find that my days are over pretty fast. And I haven't decided if that's good or bad yet. ;-)
