We will not be playing all the artists and versions that we have. We don't have the space, but we feel you'll get enough variations to enjoy yourself. Background Information: The Englishman, John Francis Wade, wrote both the words and the music, Adeste Fideles. The Musical score was first published in 1782 in Samuel Webbe's An Essay on the Church Plain Chant in 1782. John Francis Wade first included it in his own 1751 publication of Cantus Diversi. The lyrics were first published in 1760. If you hear someone using tissues, it's MoJo. This song has watery effects. To our British and Aussie allies, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Background Info: Joy to the World The words and lyrics of the old Christmas carol 'Joy to the World' were written in 1719 by Isaac Watts (1674-1748). The father of John Watts was a Non-conformist and so extreme were his views that he was imprisoned twice. His father's influence over Isaac was demonstrated when he choose to attend Nonconformist Academy at Stoke Newington in preference to a University. Watts was ordained as a Pastor of an Independent congregation. He wrote many hymns and Carols and was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree by the the University of Edinburgh in 1728. The music to the carol is by George Frederick Handel (1685-1759). MoJo Thought: Have you ever noticed while reading articles that when referring to GOD that many folks decide to write it *G-D*? What is that? Is it supposed to mean that it is less potent and offensive by keeping the *o* from appearing? My suggestion to these folks isn't to use God at all. If you can't add the *o*, don't write it. This is true for those of you that believe or don't.

I just watched the opening to SNL (for the first time this season) and amazingly that Baldwin guy actually portrayed Saddam as a kook -- AND acknowledged that Saddam had people murdered!

Oh, really, now? He may have gotten the message that people were'nt ;peased with him at all for his stance. I don't trust him. I suspect he's trying to keep some fans.

Thanks, PE, for stopping in to check out the tunes. Do you play them year round? Ever get tired of them? LOL! ==========
Yo! Kathy.
Merry Christmas!
That's just part of the Magic here in Christmas Land...we never seem to tired of the great music!! At least when we are working -- but when we manage to earn our own room, or cabin, we have access to some other music.
I like your oldies, Big Band era, and Country the best.
Oh! You should know you have earned a place on Santa's Nice List! He particularly notes your Patriotic fervor in support of the Troops! You are almost always among the first to render honors to those who have fallen using the Canteen thread...marvelous idea!!
BTW, Keep a watchful eye out for a Big Bad impersonating Santa...ya know, Big Nose, Big Ears, and most especially Big Teeth!

Yes, it's a good blend of the Caribbean-Latin rhythms and Spanish guitar. I like it. Of course, I'm the luckiest dj. I post only what I like. :-)
