I just don't know about Condi. Do I think she could run? Yes. Do I think she could handle the job? Definitely.

My doubt comes from the electorate. Having watched several elections in which articulate black Republicans lost (Herman Cain comes to mind most recently) I am concerned that there are a certain number of people who will not vote for her. There are also a certain number of people who won't vote for a woman, no matter what.

Whether the people she attracts outnumber the people who won't vote for her, I just don't know.

You are right about the MSM Talk shows bring on the weakest of the weak kneed Pubbies on these shows because they will not fight, and will not be pushy and rude right back at the low class liars(Dems) that the MSM put up every week. Lugar is so slow, I want to hit him in the back of the head to make him spit out what the heck he is saying. It is so gross that I cannot watch, by the time Lugar or Warner say a few words, the Dem will rudely push into the Pubbie time and spew some lie, and in trying to keep a civil demeanor the Pubbie lets the Dem steal his time with lie after lie. They need to be told if you cannot handle the job keep your Stupid butt off the Talk Shows. Tom delay is great, and takes no prisoners, and they all should be more like him. Lugar and Warner sound like they need to mainline Laxatives.

The last non-Rasmussen poll had Bush's approval ratings at 41%. Rasmussen's last poll had him at 46%.

It's kinda hard to anticipate WHICH lies Biden will spew. Frankly, I give Chris Wallace credit for sticking to his guns and immediately challenging Biden's claim that Cheney said "imminent" threat. Wallace knew that no such evidence existed that Cheney used those two words together, and all Wallace really could do is disagree and give Biden a chance to prove himself to be a liar. Which he very handily did.

You completely nuked nothing except for your own credibility. I can't link a statement that flew by an a Sunday Morning talk show. Oh well, there is that LMAO.

You have lofted the premise that it doesn't matter that the left talks on point and the right can barely eek out a coherent sentence. Well, okay now that you're on the record with that. Thanks. You really do know what you're talking about don't you.

I really don't know how to respond to such silly, ignorant and juvenile drivel. You are convinced you know everything there is to know about American politics. Well, I think you don't know your arse from a hole in the ground. This has nothing to do with my feelings, this has everything to do with the President's inability to get his message out to the American people.

You seem to be saying the beltway world of WashDC operates under a system that allows the leftwing to dictate the pararmeters for fighting a political war. Therefore, its a done deal in your book and the President has no power or influence to combat such an effort. You can't be serious. Amazing you actually believe such nonsense. What an irrational and illogical mind you have.

All President's have the power of the Bully Pulpit. A President can make news every day if he chooses to. 24-7-365. The fact remains, the President can get just about anyone from his inner circle to appear on the Sunday morning talk shows, as a representative of the administrations policies. Bush hasn't made the effort most conservatives believe is the right effort. Bush has done a good job fighting the war in Iraq. He's done a lousy job fighting the war at home.

You're entitled to your opinion. You just happen to be wrong most of the time.

Yes that is the story, and it's a given. The university elite are even worse, if can believe it. The American public give chances of success a much higher rating and the troops came in at something like 66% for success.

When I address what I do, I'm trying to get our side to unify behind the troops building support for their efforts. It really angers me when I see our side go wobbly during the talking head shows.

I don't disagree with and have those electability concerns, too. But she's the only one that, at this point, I'm more than slightly interested in. So far, none of the other possibilities seem to have enough pizzazz to overcome Hillary.

Not sure where the young in the UK get theres but probably the one or 2 minute recap on commercial radio hourly bulletins between music tracks. So all they will know is headlines and no meat.

Americans need to hear the truth, at every opportunity...I think in our hearts we get it but our minds & our media tell us that the United States is only at war in Afghanistan & Iraq.

It's horrible to contemplate, but in our hearts we know we're in another world war. We see little kids slaughtered by terrorists in Chechnya and Indonesia is part of this global war. We know that attacks in Spain and London are our troubles too. We saw what terror a couple of muslim wannabe terrorist snipers did to our countrymen in Virginia & Maryland. It's taking a while to choose up sides and figure out who's going to fight & who's going to surrender, but in our hearts, we've already committed to fight.

Good post, MM. Thanks for focusing in on the main issue of this thread. It is incumbent on the Bush administration to make a better effort at getting their message out. They need to get the facts and truth disseminated through whatever fog of war the left has set up. We're winning the war in Iraq, but losing the war of words at home.

Democrats and the media have spent months and months working to drive the Bush poll numbers down. The public is less anti-Bush than they are pro solutions. So, polls become a self-fulfilled prophecy used against President Bush. But, polls are funny. President Bush can make an appearance one time and get five to ten percentage points, just like that.

Keep one thing in mind. Something will happen, or the Democrats will overplay their hand, and the polls will all reverse. I can guarantee everyone not one single TV pundit will be talking next summer about the polls today.

Falling gas prices and the DOW nearing 11,000 can't hurt either.

Me, too, Miss Marple....I was really on board with George Allen for a while, but his lack of overt support for the war on terror...or supporting Bush's Doctrine of helping Iraq establish a democratic form of government...

for OUR sakes, as well as the worlds'. My goodness, I just can't imagine what is so difficult about espousing a doctrine that brings hope and freedom to a part of the world that never has had it....and has a group of fanatics that want to wipe out everyone but the most fanatical Islamofacsists...

To me, that should be a piece of cake...and when spoken of, it just makes so much sense....but, it seems no one but President Bush sees the necessity to accomplishing that, not just for our sakes, but for the future of the whole earth's people.

Depending on the democrat that these shows put on....I am sure the White House sometimes delights in the guests...

whenever Howard Dean gets on..with his nonsensical attacks, and Rangel, and Sharpton, they are SO over the top, that in my mind, they help the Bush Administration...

In fact, I think the interview with Murtha last Sunday did more to hurt Murtha and the dems...than the POTUS.

"Senators cast one of their most important votes ever and it was clearly decided for most of them based on Election politics NOT their duty."

Yes Johnnie, and the russert/biden exchange was an example when russert mentioned that only six senators read the pre-war intelligence report and asked biden if he read it....biden screamed "Let me tell you tim, what I said at the time" ....and then proceeded, never to answer the question, but rather to quote himself endlessly.....he's really a peacock!

McLawyer was Bill McBride. Tim Russert did a good job and exposed to the entire listening audience exactly how bad a candidate McBride was. I believe that is that last time that Russert was objective at all or fair at all. I believe that the Dems in Florida and all over the Nation especially Terry Mcawful (who bragged that Jeb was going down) blamed Russert for the @$$whooping that Jeb gave McBride by 13%. I am sure that they gave him marching orders and explained to him in no uncertain terms that they built him up and they can take him down. I am sure that McAwful let him know that there would be no dems on his show at all including her Heiness Hillary if he did not stay faithfully with the party line. Soon after that Election you could tell The Buffalo from Buffalo was being very unfair to Pubbies except McCain, and Hagel, etc. He became more strident and it is true his body(UGH) language tells it all. I stopped watching, and according to all the freepers that still watch, he does not even try to pretend that he is fair.

And look what thanks he gets for it as well. GWB as a Christian does not care about his legacy but doing the right thing. Others I fear care about what is thought of them and are more poll numbers orientated hence they will not follow the "Bush Doctrine".
