The last non-Rasmussen poll had Bush's approval ratings at 41%. Rasmussen's last poll had him at 46%.
Democrats and the media have spent months and months working to drive the Bush poll numbers down. The public is less anti-Bush than they are pro solutions. So, polls become a self-fulfilled prophecy used against President Bush. But, polls are funny. President Bush can make an appearance one time and get five to ten percentage points, just like that.
Keep one thing in mind. Something will happen, or the Democrats will overplay their hand, and the polls will all reverse. I can guarantee everyone not one single TV pundit will be talking next summer about the polls today.
