CNN MARKS CHENEY: NETWORK FLASHES 'X' OVER VP'S FACE DURING LIVE SPEECH

At 11:04:45 AM ET Monday CNN was airing Vice President Dick Cheney's speech live from the American Enterprise Institute in Washington -- when a large black 'X' repeatedly flashed over the vice president's face!

The 'X' over Cheney's face appeared each time less than a second, creating an odd subliminal effect.

As this DRUDGE REPORT screen capture reveals, while one 'X' flashed over Cheney's face CNN ran a headline at the bottom of its screen: "CHENEY: I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS WRONG TO CRITICIZE."

One top White House source expressed concern about what was aired over CNN.

"Is someone in Atlanta trying to tell us something?"

A CNN spokesman did not return repeated calls late Monday night.

I reccomend a complete boycott of CNN in rebuttal for their outright aggorance.

I don't watch their sleazey station for any reason and haven't since scumbacket Clinton was still in his first term, I just happened to see the black X during my regular scan of FR and was angered no end.

If it is true I do not believe it was an accident, the ratty hotbed of leftist liberal fellow travelers have no couth!

Actually no. I think that most journalists in Washington have absolutely NO CLUE that they are so intensely biased.

I started out a journalism major in college. I can not tell you how many people looked me straight in the eye and said—"I want to be an objective journalist so that I can change the world." Or words to that effect. I would just shake my head in disbelief. Ironically, I was politically liberal then, but I will always believe that was the beginning of my awakening, so to speak.

After reading Bernie Goldberg's Bias and Arrogance, it solidified my opinion that most of them think they ARE being fair and balanced. Dan Rather still believes himself to be on the same page as the majority of Americans. They still believe they speak for the average joe.

Honestly, that is the problem and why the state of American Journalism is so hard to change. Because they can be caught red handed—and they just don't see it. They are in complete denial, and while some do have openly partisan leanings, most of them do not think they do.

There are three things I know to be absolute facts about most mainstream journalists: They are intensely arrogant, completely out of touch, and fundamentally lazy. That is what makes them so insidious—and WORSE than people with a naked agenda.

I just don't buy the glitch story. I also notice how about two minutes into this they put up a huge box with Murtha in it. Murtha should feel like crap because he has become the second act after moonbat cindy ran out of interest for the MSM. The only question is when Murtha runs out who is the next icon for the anti-war left? I bet some disgruntled soldier.

The only way it can be a "glitch" is if there was another video source keyed over the Cheney feed that, strangely enough, was animated at around fifteen frames per second.

Standard NTSC video is 30 frames per second. To pull this off, an animation had to be created, striped to tape, and overlayed or keyed over the Cheney feed.

It's possible it was a mistake. It isn't likely it was a mistake.

Someone who knows something about this stuff speaks up.

Switcher glitches are, by defintion, a loss of data or a loss of synch resulting in random crap. What you see here is a graphics generator adding graphics to a video signal. Period, end of story.
