Paris/France burns, Live thread (night #10)

Posted on 11/05/2005 9:39:59 AM PST by Dane

It is now getting dark in Paris and in all of France(appx. 6:40 PM Paris Time), and if there are any French FR lurkers(lurquers), this may be the thread to post your reports about any further violence.

It seems the French govt. is impotent in it's response to what seems are jihadist thugs and it seems the American media has put a news blackout filter to what is really happening, so as not to embarass their heroes, Chirac et al.

So any news reports or personal reports from what happens tonight are welcome, and don't worry about broken English, reports in French are welcome also, I have no doubt someone can translate.

I really dread putting up a live thread about such a matter, but it seems that the American MSM is following French govt. orders to play down to what it seems is an insurrection.

Before you cheer this, remember if France falls into violence and rebellion, it is likely to have an impact on your ally, Britain. Us!

Regards, Ivan

As you said with Vietnam. If the damn french hadn't SO TOTALLY SCREWED UP "Indochina" in the 50s and 60s, my father wouldn't have had to spend FOUR YEARS in that STINKING FESTERING CRAP HOLD during the Vietnam war. Vietnam was a mess of the french's making. Someone talk to Lt.General Hal Moore about how great the french are. He studied first hand what a bunch of screw ups the french are.

This is not surprising in the least when a country has a population who has no interest in that country and refuses to assimilate. Coming to the US soon.

I was always baffled by the women in the left background applauding in that photo.

Burn Baby Burn.

They can hire the looters/rioters to build Renaults and Citroens.

You are welcome to go over and help them out, Dane.

Why would I want to leave the US?

Hey I can't help it if your hero pat buchanan's vision of french like paradise isn't going to happen in the US.

BTW, where has pat been about the recent jihadi trouble in France, crickets from him, but if GW Bush dare sneezes he has an article written and is slathering all over katie couric for affection.

You need to include Turkey and Eritrea. Both are Islamist strongholds. Turkey has only been paying lipservice to the West due to it's army, but that role is diminishing.
Eritrea is mostly Muslim. Turkey is a msulim state. No churches allowed. Used to be Byzantium, a strong Christian culture, until it was overrun by Muslims (1450's)) in their attempt to occupy Europe.

Ah ... Bunny, you're here so I'm gonna stick around for some grins.

Is this thread going to develop into the running threads like on the war? We all had some great times on those. Will a two-state solution be offered? U.N. peacekeepers at the checkpoints? Free travel between the 'occupied areas'? Stay tuned!

Yep. It's sure striking to see the lib media going so far out of their way to bury this. It was three or so days befor they even made mention of it from what I saw. This does NOT help the lib cause. Is there anything else that could go wrong for them? 8)

Thanks. Another thought on the paint projectiles. The American military in Iraq could round up everyone color-coded for questioning who is seen cheering after an IAD explosion. They may know something, or even participated. Plus, just keeping someone in lockup for say 2-3 weeks is enough of a deterrent to let kids know that such cheering will cost them rather than letting them mug for free before Al Jazeerah.

I actually heard Gill Gross on the ABC radio news say that it was African/Americans doing the rioting.

I agree with you. I have spent more time than usual with free republic because the French scene is so disturbing and the views here are so clear. It is confusing why the Muslims are rioting in France and why the French leaders have not stopped the riots.

Mad.
I will be concerned, may even show a hint of concern, when their own press, censored as it is, acknowledges that what's going on is more than property damage.

If they don't recognize the problem, there is still a problem.

They only report on numbers of stores burned and how many cars were destroyed.

The folks doing the car destroying are the ones employed to build the cars.

Until they grow a pair and take care of their own problems, there wont be much for us to do except cheer it on, eat popcorn and enjoy.

French Eurotrash mulling giving up it's PC culture. Pretty heavy move for these hypocrites. Will impact all their anti-Christian ravings and kneeling before the lib establishment.

You couldn't be more correct even if you added a diagram. Right on. This further proves that we need to do things financially, socially and politically insofar as governing, more how they've been done in the past in America and NOT how the socialist leaning euro-trash have been doing them.

Funny about the cars. Most of the rioting is in these lowclass suburbs. So they burn their own cars?

This is internal secession. Every burning car is the equivalent of a cannon ball lobbed at Fort Sumter. They want a Confederacy, with benefits thrown in.
