BOBIGNY, France (Reuters) -- French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy defended his tough crime policies on Monday after a fourth night of riots in a Paris suburb in which tear gas was fired into a mosque.
Sarkozy, addressing police officers, vowed to find how tear gas had been fired into the Muslim place of worship, an incident which had helped fuel the disturbances.
Youths hurled rocks and set fire to cars in the northeastern Clichy-sous-Bois suburb of the French capital, where many immigrants and poor families live in high-rise housing estates notorious for youth violence.
...snip
French television said six police officers were hurt and 11 people arrested in violence partly fueled by the incident at the mosque. Sarkozy promised an inquiry.
"I am, of course, available to the imam of the Clichy mosque to let him have all the details in order to understand how and why a tear gas bomb was sent into this mosque," he told about 170 police officers at the prefecture.

"Surely the French can defend their own country, right? (Snicker...snort...cough...)"
It'd be ironic as hell if the Germans have to come riding to their rescue!

I do not care what happens in France.
I will not shed any tears for them.
I have written them off as hopeless...they are on their own.

We lived in France for a number of years back in the 1980's. We loved the Country and it's people.
I believe that little by little France has been accepting Muslims into their Country via legal means, and now suddenly they have opened their eyes and can't believe they are being held hostage by Muslim gangs in most major cities, especially Paris.
The French people I met definitely felt that there is a difference in being French versus living in France.
I would not be surprised to see civil war between the Muslims and the French.

I would not be surprised to see civil war between the Muslims and the French. Thank you. I feel like a small voice in the wilderness. Many FReepers do not understand, the Europeans have had their "MSM" blaring tolerance and diversity 24/7 for years.....many Europeans...French, Dutch, Belgians, Brits and Germans (that I have spoken with) are pretty well fed up. Let's not write off Europe quite yet.....

I would not be surprised to see civil war between the Muslims and the French. For their sake, I hope that Charles Martel has some living descendants in that part of the world.

Here is a link to a previous article at CNN about the riots in France:
Second night of rioting in Paris CNN
Saturday, October 29, 2005 Posted: 1143 GMT (1943 HKT)
(...)A police trade union called for help from the army to support police officers.
"There's a civil war underway in Clichy-Sous-Bois at the moment," Michel Thooris, an official of police trade union Action Police CFTC, said .
"We can no longer withstand this situation on our own. My colleagues neither have the equipment nor the practical or theoretical training for street fighting," he said.

It will take this and more to wake them up. Heck, the French criminally prosecuted Bridget Bardot for writing a book complaining about what has been going on. Me, I feel for the innocent French who have let the left start the ruin of their country...

I posted something similar in another thread. Riots in Paris for 4 nights and we don't he a peep until today. No, it was there, burried in back pages, like it was just a college prank. The french press (Reuters) was sitting on the fact that it was Muslims rioting, and the US press was only too happy to accomodate.

Clichy-Sous-Bois Exactly. CNN didn't mention muslims till today.
However, long time FReepers will remember that section of Paris was mentioned a year or two ago in response to a very informative posting of a story by one of the well known pundits, which unfortunatly I do not have book marked on this computer.

They thought they WERE dealing with them by NOT siding with us in Iraq....Unfortunately they did not realize they were in a "Hell if you do, Hell if you don't scenario: that no matter what they did they were going to be violent. The riots are just the beginning.
