Here is aan e-mail that I just received:
Genvieve Peters (no relation), who I recruited for the LA bus tour team, is certifiably insane and brings new meaning to the phrase "earned media". Forget about the baloney delivery stunt, this one clearly takes the cake. When David Pegos tried to stage a counter protest today at the Latino union rally with Nunez and Villaraigosa in Downtown LA I put him in touch with Genvieve. She showed up in her red Arnold t-shirt with her signs ALL ALONE. Instead of going home (which I would have told her to do if the lunatic had called me), she quietly made her way into the middle of the crowd and positioned herself in front of the podium.
When Villarogosa finished speaking, she spun around and waived her "YES on 74-77" signs for the cameras. The media converged on her. The union thugs converged on her.
As the media asked her why she was there, the thugs started hitting her over the head with their "no" signs, tearing up her signs and pouring water on her as she loudly proclaimed to the cameras that she was there because she used to be a teacher in an ESL class and she knows that the children of all these wonderful hardworking people deserve a better education and their unions are lying to them!!!
The media ate it up. She was interviewed by Channels 2 & 9 as well as by the Spanish media. The thugs kept complaining that she was stealing their news coverage. Luckily one very kind (and quite large) union member escorted her to her car - all the while flashing gang signs at his fellow union members warning them to back off. Thank God she's home safe and sound. I'm buying her dinner (right after I stop screaming at her for taking her life in her hands)!

I was scrolling through to see if you saw this post.
Much better documentation this time though, huh?
Not that it helps. Lets hope this stays on the surface of the news cycle.

That is one brave woman. Yes, she is brave. Freepers were beaten up by Union thugs in the past, and I'm sure it will happen again. It's awful. Liberals are awful. But it'll happen again...

Holy crap. Thanks for the ping, Ron.
That's the dangerous part of FReeping. Thankfully Geneveive is healthy and scrappy. I'll tell you folks something else. The first amendment rights granted to us, are arbitrary in some situations. If Ms. Ex for example, was the lady in this confrontation, and if she had a vindictive ex husband. Guess what? That could be used against her in a custody fight. It's the same with security clearances. Imagine you in a meeting after this kind of confrontation. They're not on your side.
I apologize for being negative. I have found my few FReeps to be positive, except for that last one in Century City. It was a few years ago. I was scared to death.
If you have health problems, job or custody issues, think before you protest.

This bears REPEATING!!!
We need to move against these people with the legal system. (Use their own tactics) Make them afraid... VERY afraid to act out!!!

This is a perfect commercial to sink the Union Thugs in the upcoming election.
This is exactly why we need to defeat the UNIONS!!!
They go FIRST...to Violence.
They LIE like Dogs.
They Take Our Dues and give it ALL to Democrats when over 35% of Union membership Votes republican!!!!
UNIONS are the SCUM of the Earth.

Union thug leaders and their animals in the street like the ones on this video are just like the street Nazis in Germany in the 1830's. Anyone who dare to disagree with them was beaten up or worse.

Teachers Unions Misundereducation
So this afternoon, I walked over to Pershing Square to check out the Anti-Reform rally with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Howard Dean, and Senators One-Bill Gil Cedillo and Jack Scott. Although it was starting at 4 oclock, the site was fairly empty but for maybe forty people when I arrived.
I walked around and noticed that they were bussing people in for the event.
In fact they clearly labeled their "buss stop"...
In fact, not one but all of the signs had the same mistake covered by the same red tape (how fitting for a union-sponsored event!)
Ironically, the union members being busssed in were protesting a measure to improve standards for teacher quality in public schools.

Synchro, I respectfully disagree. There were seven TV cameras, plus the Teamsters camera that filmed the attack upon us. And there were a number of witnesses on both sides, to the event.
Additionally, the beating Don took with THEIR fists, and the several blows I took, were far worse. Other protesters, including an elderly man, were also attacked that evening.
Furthermore, District Attorney Lynn Abraham accepted a private criminal complaint filed by the TEAMSTERS against Don, the main victim of the brutal beating, which was Mayor Ed Rendell's idea. Don was the only one to stand trial as a result of that affair.
And there were vicious people on this forum and elsewhere on the Internet who attacked me here and in REAL life in all manner of ways including veiled threats to my life and well being for several years, stalking me (again in real life) and making it impossible for me to continue posting about our case and else wise (lest they post vicious lies about me), especially throughout the deposition phase, and a few years thereafter. I pray everyone involved, pays a high price for everything they cost me and it was a great deal. Without an apology and reparations, they will never be forgiven.
I venture to say few people on this forum have paid so high a price with their personal lives for their activism. All this, after all the sacrifices, prior to the TEAMSTER attack, we made during and since college, for the conservative cause.

Ya'll need to fly some of us southern boys in for your security next time. I bet they think twice about tearing anything up. Especially if we dress "appropiately". Everytime I see one these Union beat downs, I always think to myself, I wish I were there cause then it would be fair. :)

Ha! That's not a typo. It's subliminal advertising designed to trigger the union-bots to 'kiss up' .... ;^)

has to do with State confiscation of civil service pension funds that were NOT funded by taxpayer monies. I'm not sure to which proposition you are refering. I already voted Yes on all of them. With regard to this statement let me say this, "too bad, cry me a river". First off, I don't believe your statement.
But if true, let them take UNION members pension money and use it for all others kinds of acivities, I could care less. Why? Because they never cared anything at all when they pciked it out of my pocket to begin with. I guess the unions are discovering that after time the same techniques they used to pillage money from the taxpayers get turned around and used against them. Too bad, its long overdue.
Also, all of their pension money was suppied by the taxpayer to begin with. It was our money, not theirs. Most of which got spent and funneled through organizations I could do without, or could do with a whole lot less of.

It is interesting that when the teachers' union agitates, it is about the teachers rather than the students. As Laura observed yesterday.
