Excellent news! Now I can vent! I couldn't make one dang dime's worth of sense outta her nomination. If the President is playing chess, I can't even make out the board. I'm thankful she's withdrawn, as I didn't like her.

Those who think me hypocritical will be unable to find one post from me defending her, but I do defend the prez and his right to nominate whom he likes. I won't pile on an ally with the other dogs. Ann Coulter was totally unfair on many points, but she was on the nose with this (paraphrased from memory):

"We don't need hearings to know Miers is not a polar bear, and we don't need hearings to know she isn't qualified."

Miers' public record demonstrated she was unfit. Review my previous postings about Miers. You'll find 90% of my comments were appeals to give her the benefit of the doubt, even moreso than Bush himself (example: "What if Miers is a conservative AND Bush is an idiot?", "Miers' questionnaire likely shows a cautious conservative").
