The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
...the bird flu and the military type quarantines...This scares me more than terrorism. I can hide from terrorism for the most part, but this type of contagious flu will go everywhere...Do we need to stock up on even more supplies, say like about 6 months worth?
FYI--
Does ammonium nitrate ring a bell?
holy sh**!
Ooopsie. This would have gone down a memory hole already were it not for the alternative media.
Boren is a DemocRAT, don't look for truth anytime soon.
That was my first thought too. Good catch digitalbrownshirt(re: post #4089).
They are NOT going to want Rick Roberts on this story if they want it swept under the rug...cause he's VERY persistent. He was David Westerfield/Damon and Brenda Van Dam's worst nightmare when that case happened...he was looking at, reading about, researching into, checking out every twist, turn, angle, etc... (So Defender, thanks for saying enough that I knew it really was him...going to have to be listening for him!)
It's GREAT that's on this b/c he will keep going if he's really as concerned as it sounds like he was today ...I don't think he'll drop the ball on it. That's how he started with the Westerfield/VD thing.
You locals (OU folks), if you email him and let him know you were at the game, etc., I suspect they'd put you through on the phone right away...or that he'd talk to you on air even during the non-call-in times. Roberts is usually on 6-10 am (CA time)...here's the station website http://www.760kfmb.com/
The guys at KFI are really persistent on stories like this sometimes, too...also CA, but...the John and Ken guys would probably be very interested in this also ( http://www.kfi.com/ ) Especially if some of the people at the game wrote in or called...
Just some thoughts! This story can't keep being ignored! Rick Roberts is a great one to keep on it! So this is a great start!
I used to listen to him overnights when he worked for 850 KOA in Denver years ago.
It's a bit different than the news report but it's second had info.
I read some headline over the weekend about 4 unexplained respiratory deaths in Toronto...not SARS, not usual influenza. I wondered about those as being Avian flu, but haven't seen any follow up on if they've pinned the cause of those deaths down.
That link makes me wonder if the FBI, who was "on his trail" supposedly, detonated the bomb on purpose early.
There we have it. Good digging.
All the OU folks trying to make this go away are going to be SO sorry to have him on this story! ha!
The fact the FBI took over within hours indicate it is a DHS event....I bet the guy was even on the watch list.
I'm sorry, Lizarde. I am too bone tired right now to understand the question. My apologies.
