The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
Uh....24/7 coverage? You must be kidding, right?
There has been NO coverage.......
because there has been sufficient scrutiny and questions by the media about it, explanations, reports, video - you know, the usual stuff. not that this guarantees the truth - but it sure as hell helps, and its better then the media blackout we've had on this Oklahoma story for the lasst 24 hours.
As to what buisness they have getting involved in it. They deal with terroism. As to you comments about them. those kinds of STRONG comments are exactly why we can't post there stuff anymore. They really do us no good at this point.
I heard that all the way where I live on the NE side of Norman? That was a big explosion. Must be 5-6 miles away.
Well, my son is a freshman, and this was the first game I've been to, so I could not say for sure whether this is a congregation spot at halftime, but from what I could see, even in normal circumstances, it would be kind of a pain to leave the game during halftime and return for the second half; and if you did, I am not sure why you would go to this courtyard, rather than one of the many beer tents and restaurants nearby.
If I were planning to blow up a crowd at haltime, I would go near a gate and toss the backpack through the fence, not plant it in a random spot on campus and hope crowds would show up. Especially with a timer, sonce no football games run on a schedule.
So I'll vote against the theory. From what I saw on the ground, it doesn't make sense.
Then those on the "lookie here" side must also have the burden to explain how they know that the capsised boat wasn't also a terror attack. And that terrorists didn't blow up the levies after the hurricane to flood New Orleans.
We can be more suspicious, but we don't leave our skepticism at the door.
Thank you bnelson44.

Another explosion detonated Sunday
from staff reports
October 02, 2005
Law enforcement performed a controlled detonation at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday at the Norman Police Departments's firing range on State Highway 9 and Jenkins Avenue.
I can understand not posting from their sites, but to not even pass along a "link" to someone? Guess folks have to have a secret password? sheesh! Yes, it is JR's decision and I totally respect that. However, I do NOT respect websites that act as if they are part of a secret society when anyone and everyone in the entire world can find them online. Dumb, plain dumb, IMHO.
He now has a name.

Lots of facts on this thread......fyi.
Ahhhhh, the picture is now getting clearer. Thanks.
I said if it was a SUICIDE why should it rate 24/7 news coverage.
Wow, you're good! I couldn't have thought of all those names, but now that you mention them, I sure do remember each and very one. Good job!
I don't like it either. It is just the way it is :(
All the buses I saw were on Asp. All the reports say the explosion was somewhere between Cross and the south Oval (west of Cross.) I was on Asp and there was no evidence of any explosion. The whole south oval was still taped off this morning though. I was replying to somebody who had seen pictures of buses being washed, and although I have not seen these pictures, there is no way they were the buses on Asp last night.
of what? what was detonated, where was it found? is the reporting on this story unbelievable or what?
Great blog!!!
Bump!!!
Okaaaay. His son has just blown himself up and this is all the Dad has to say? He was "very surprised".....??? This is all too screwy.
