I am heading down to the Rally site now, to help with setting up - which began at 5am today. I didn't know if someone would post a live thread later. My apologies if I have stepped on any toes.

The Gold Star Families are wonderful speakers. I think they're getting their strength from God. Even those who say they're not good speakers (and might not be used to public speaking) are extremely eloquent. sniff

CSPAN captioned everyone yesterday. What happened today?
Did she say she lost her son when Casey was killed?

Pat Kelly - my son was a Lance Corporal and a warrior for the United States of America.
Over 200 years ago an America said "a tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of patriots".
While I'm not happy my son's blood was chosen to water that tree, I'm very proud my son served his country.
It's been a priviledge to meet other men my son worked with. If they line my sons platoon in front of me, I don't know who I would have picked. It would have been hard, because my son was ready to die for this country. And all the men in his platoon knew that.
I would like to say to Cindy Sheehan " I will support her if she can promise me that after we pull out of Iraq that the terrorists will not attack this country and there will be peace". But I think history supports the fact that that will not happen.
If we pull out, the next place we will be hiding will be in the United States of America.
And I just lost feed to C-Span.

I hope Sheehan is watching this--I hope she is getting her personal messages from these family members.
To: chgomac
Oh, my goodness....she not only spoke wonderfully, but she is obviously a very compassionate, thoughtful person to start that retreat...
Could you please ask her if she will be in need of anything to start that retreat...I would LOVE to help, if she does.
Please thank her for me....and give Logan a hug...and tell him that FreeRepublic has another Logan young boy...who had to fight for his own life..and I would like to include him in with the other Logan in my prayers!
