Dangerous Hurricane Rita is expected to make landfall in the northeast Gulf of Mexico within 24 hours. Tornados have spawned in Louisiana. Water is filling the Ninth Ward of New Orleans again. A bus carrying elderly evacuees was gutted by fire this morning outside Dallas, with multiple fatalities. Television crews have positioned their hurricane reporters throughout the region to attain maximum drama effects. Whoooooa.

I see the usual gang of idiots is out this evening. Somethings never change.
By the way, that was an excellent response.
Cheers,
John
If the Democrats collectively had half a brain, someone like Bill White would be their next Prez candidate, instead of a Hillary or Kerry.
Both of them are at least 75 pounds, all of it bone and muscle, and yet at the first sound of thunder, I get two very large lapdogs on top of me ;)
Does this sound like a wanna be Steve to any of yall. Locked out of the hotel, leaning in the wind.... When are we gonna hear the whoas!?
She was on the last City of Houston press conference...she was actually well behaved....all the Dems were.
Geraldo is either incredibly stupid or he's being coached by someone who knows the approximate whereabouts of the brunt of the storm surge. OK, I guess both can occur simultaneously. If that surge comes over the wall, it's not going to be a little splash. It's going to be a 20 foot wall of water.
Like I posted...Greg Knapp's show at KLIF in Dallas...
I also said it was unsubstantiated...I was repeating what I heard..
I too, am skeptical...
**Shrugs** Happened in WWII as well. History is - slowly - correcting itself.
I'm sure the LA Politicians don't give a damn, but we have MISS, Alabama, Texas and peripheral damage in other states like Florida.
200 B or so has been speculated for coverage of ALL states. They come along and demand it all for themselves? So, what? We're supposed to spend a trillion dollars so everything is fair? The whole blasted state is corrupt. I want Honore put in charge of any funding that heads to LA.
I suppose next Congress will want to not only delay vote on tax cuts, but instead raise our taxes to pre-JFK days. Very least the Carter years.
Now don't go confusing them with facts...
Earthquake in the Gulf of Mexico being reported by the NWS
That's the same make up as the swiftwater teams that were sent to NO, I wonder if they got home between 'canes?
You'd like "The Count Of Monte Cristo."
I wish someone would have been able to capture Geraldo saying that he conferred with Shep and they concur that Port Arthur won't flood. It could be very useful in the future.
She was on earlier. I had to leave the room, or shoot the TV.
I understood that. All we need now is a depth chart of the northwestern Gulf.

We wouldnt tell people with food and water they weren't allowed to go feed people that were hungry and thirsty because we didn't want to encourage them to stay where they were, that's for starters.
I liked how Perry said he had not the time nor interest in comparing Texas' response to Louisiana's.
ROFL!
