"Gift" tie?
Years ago, we sent McCain a tie and delighted every time he wore it. :)

TV challenged -- not clear as to what exchange provoked Senator Graham into the Ginsberg disclosure. What provoked that statement was the libs trying to make a lawyers representation of a client into that being the lawyers POV.
IOW if you defend a murderer you must believe in murder, a typical DUmmie technique to MUDDY the waters as usual.
Watching these DUmbocRATs in the Senate isn't so bad as long as their in the minority.
Lest we forget Roberts was nominated to a judgeship by the first Prez Bush but was NEVER even given a hearing. SCUMBAGS

Judges should not judge lawyers by their clients.

I like Janice Rogewr Brown, but she is also very important in her new position on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.

NRO Bench Memo/RedState Rumors
The Next Nominee
[Jonathan Adler 09/15 09:38 AM]
Like Erick at RedState, I have heard that Judge Edith Jones is under serious consideration for Justice O'Connor's seat, but I had not heard that Larry Thompson was also a serious contender. I've also been led to believe that Priscilla Owen is in the mix, and Alice Batchelder of the Sixth Circuit may be in the mix as well. Clement is out. Gonzales is not a likely nominee right now either, but that could change. Were the President to nominate someone who the base would prefer to him (e.g., Jones), and were that nomination to fail in the Senate, Justice Gonzales would become a real possibility.

I was thinking the same thing, but making the vote a little closer this time with Roberts means they can justify their dislike of the next candidate for any ONE particular reason.
If it is an overwhelming vote this time, then the next candidate had better be really to the right of Roberts, or else how could the RATs vote him/her down?

I think that Free Republic posters, who anonymously and honestly express their opinions, certainly do put the lie to the contention that conservatives are racist. Almost everyone here would love to see a black woman like Janice Rogers Brown take a seat on the US Supreme Court.
It is the Left that enjoys seeing blacks wallow in a plantation mentality as perpetual victims. This disempowerment only perpetuates a democrat voting bloc to provide votes for the Leftist elite nanny state.
