Good show, Chad. Please keep posting the pics of every person who "testifies" for our cubicle bound.
Can't wait to see if Susan Thistlethwaite's fellow peaceniks begin to demonstrate against the Iraq war when she testifies during these hearings.
The Math of Martyrs, Has the U.S. unwittingly entered into the business of producing terrorists because the Bush administration discounts the power of religion? by Susan B. Thistlethwaite [excerpt]
Martyrs are being created by the pre-emptive war against Iraq, martyrs whom some radicals in the Muslim world will want to avenge through terrorist attacks. So it's almost predictable that the Bush administration will lose the war on terrorism because it has discounted the force of religion in the motive for terror. In fact, we are risking our relationship with Islamic moderates just when we need moderate voices in Islam to counteract the rise of a militant fundamentalism in more than 60 countries.[snip]This war on terrorism could be won more by positive political and economic change than by bombs and advancing armies.
Well, she does give the Dems the filibuster to use if they don't like the next appointment.
Isn't her name Ruth Darth-Bader-Ginsberg?
Evaluated twice.....Bet they were both consistantly high!
This guy's almost as self-obsessed as Schumer.
I think so too. I hope not, because he's on Roberts's side BIG TIME!
Do not underestimate the RATs to make a small "statement" on this vote. Expect something like 70-25 with 5 abstains.
LMAO! That's her name from here on out! GOOD ONE!
The Ginsberg positions came into the record yesterday as well. I think what Graham was reacting to was the attempt to portray Roberts as generally unkind and uncaring, a man with a "bad heart" toward minorities, elementary students with AIDs, the disabled, women.
"Isn't her name Ruth Darth-Bader-Ginsberg?"
Ruth Baader Meinhoff Ginsburg
They'll either go for him big time or just barely.
They might want to save their distain for the next nominee.
Maybe that's all they do is come in a read a statement?
Often, looks can be deceiving. With Ginsberg, we get the complete package. Inside and out.
"Do not underestimate the RATs to make a small "statement" on this vote. Expect something like 70-25 with 5 abstains."
I suspect the opposite - as I said earlier, I think all but the very dumbest of them will support him, in order to illustrate their supposed "fairness" and "non-bias" - which they can bleat about when they attempt to disembowel the next candidate.
Time permitting, it looks like questions can be posed.
Hatch has a "gift" tie on.
And that was mild for her.
