Blanco: Body Recovery Taking Too Long
breitbart.com ^ | Sep 13, 2005 | Associated Press

Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco lashed out at FEMA on Tuesday, complaining the agency is moving too slowly in recovering the bodies of those killed by Hurricane Katrina.

The dead "deserve more respect than they have received," she said at state police headquarters in Baton Rouge.

She said that the Federal Emergency Management Agency still has not signed a contract with the company hired to handle the removal of the bodies, Houston-based Kenyon International Emergency Services.

Calls to a FEMA spokesman in New Orleans and the Homeland Security Department in Washington were not immediately returned.

Somebody needs to bitch slap that stupid hag or at least call her out. The Republicans are just too polite when dealing with this IDIOTS. She needs to stand in the public and answer questions asked by us Freepers.

Those corpses brought to you courtesy of Governor Blanco and the good people of the Louisiana State government.

What a Blanco - I mean maroon.

"Responsible?"

Blanco doesn't have to be as long as George Bush is willing to take the blame for everything that went wrong.

It has been my opinion since the beginning that this woman does not have the brains to act as she has and that she is receiving her marching orders from D.C. Democrats. She's done a nice job of creating chaos and then having Bush apologize for it. Does anyone know what Carville has been up to recently?

We MADE the German civilians who lived near the concentration camps collect the dead. Nagin & Blanco should be made to do it ALONE!

"I have taken action today to resolve a matter that involves life, death and dignity," Kathleen Blanco told reporters

Too late, lady. You needed to take action more than 2 weeks ago, when you could have actually prevented the deaths.

Shameless pandering to her base.

The absolute BEST definition of "chutzpah" I have ever heard is as follows:

A man kills his parents and then begs for lenience from the Court because he's an orphan.

'Nuff said.

According to this:

Asked for the dollar amount of the contract, SCI spokesman Gregory Bolton referred questions to Kenyon spokesmen.

Kenyon spokesman Bill Berry said he didn't have a cost figure for work in Louisiana, but added that Kenyon has had a FEMA contract since 1997, was activated after 9-11, is working in Louisiana only so far, and isn't recovering bodies.

Great comment, Blanco. This coming from someone who had no respect for their value as human beings when they were alive.
*****

Exactly. Just when I think a dem can't get any more stupid or sink to any new lows, one of them comes along and restores my faith.

Where did Karl Rove hide the other 9700 bodies?

Exactly.
'I need bodies!"
'I made sure as little as possible would be done to get those peons out of there so I know they have to be there.'
'How can I keep getting sympathy ($) without thousands of bodies?'
