Q&A with Roberts to Start
On Tuesday, the eighteen members of the Senate Judiciary Cmte. begin questioning Chief Justice nominee John Roberts. This will take all day, with the senators asking their questions, up to a half-hour for each member, in order of seniority, alternating by party.

The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:
Kennedy -- civil rights
Leahy -- Bybee torture memo
Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment
Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties
Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade
Feingold -- limits of executive powers
Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

That's not a new word. It has been used in the past to describe a tropical disease.
It's just a new definition...
Roberts calls him on plagarism, says it is 'good staff work.'
That was rich. Biden was told to let Roberts answer the question and Biden whined in a high-pitched, little girly voice: "But I have no time left!" What a hostile, pampered little gasbag.
Not the time or place to be "Folksy" and it shows his intent is to play to the cameras and constituents, nothing more.
My FRiend, don't be so naive. Personal feelings enter into all aspects of human life. PERIOD! That shouldn't effect whether Roberts is an originalist or a constitutionist. Think about it.
He just called Roberts "man." He has been very disrespectful to Judge Roberts, and his voice is so dmn whiny!

I have a BS in Criminal Justice, and I think I have a better grasp of the law then all the Democrats. Roberts is kicking their ass.
Biden: 'I think it was bad staff work.' (since he usually plagarizes himself)
Biden just said let me ask you a question because I want to know the answer.
But he doesn't. As he said previously to Specter, "But I already KNOW the answer".
I'm still stuck on Biden asserting that he knows as much as Fred Thompson.
I just tuned in to the hearings.

You think that following a policy of always assisting one's law firm partners when they ask you a question will affect how one rules in a SCOTUS case? That's preposterous.
