Q&A with Roberts to Start
On Tuesday, the eighteen members of the Senate Judiciary Cmte. begin questioning Chief Justice nominee John Roberts. This will take all day, with the senators asking their questions, up to a half-hour for each member, in order of seniority, alternating by party.

Kennedy -- civil rights
Leahy -- Bybee torture memo
Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment
Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties
Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade
Feingold -- limits of executive powers
Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

I still say Biden must have a thing for Ginzburg, because he invokes her so much...
Roberts is confounding the asses on the panel.....and stated the Supreme Court should not be the remedy for social ills. That's just what I wanted to hear.
If you're listening, his positions are acceptable to most conservatives.
Remember, this is a game.....and as Rush just said, the liberal senators are just talking for the record, and the air is really out of their tires.
Roberts is doing a lot of talking, but handing the enemy senators nothing.

You are getting worked up, read his work, he's solid, this is not a Souter. These JackAss Democrats are out of control, and Bush knows that, they told Roberts to be careful, they don't want another Estrada or Bork. Gosh don't bail so quickly.
You can always count on Senator Biden for cheap entertainment.

I find nothing wrong with advocating your clients position. I do find Roberts involvement in Romer v Evans to be very troubling. It's called personal morals. And SCJ Scalia said he wouldn't have assisted the gay militant activists in overturning that decision by Colorado voters.
Well Biden just got shot down by Roberts and it's about time. Obviously Biden has 40,000+ questions to ask and no time to listen to Roberts' answer.
