The Dem playbook
The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:
Kennedy -- civil rights
Leahy -- Bybee torture memo
Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment
Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties
Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade
Feingold -- limits of executive powers
Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

He's going to be CJ before the first Monday in October.
The ugly democrats can only hope to bruise him.
There's no tripping up an honest man, and Roberts is an honest man.
We need someone talented at with Photoshop to take the 2004 image of Rehnquist swearing in W, and substitute Roberts' and Jeb's faces, and send it to the DUmmies..
Yep. Garrison. His contempt for Biden could be felt through the radio, honest!
"He thinks as much about himself as Biden thinks about himself"
Someone once told me they were part of a meeting in Biden's office. They said that it was very annoying because he kept staring above their heads and no one knew why. Finally, they turned around and looked up and found that there was a mirror there. He had been staring at himself the entire time when he was supposed to be talking to the group!
LOL, I had to visualize but when it came to me, it was a pretty pic!
Judge Roberts, would you allow a sitting President to lie under oath if it's considered by some to be a 'personal matter'?
Notice that no Dem has yet to mention the documents the asked for, but were refused..

What's everyone's take ont he vote..10-8?.. will any Dem vote to send him to the senate..
I won't put money on it, but Feingold might.
Then again, you might have more knowledge and experience about the law and law firms than he does -- just as you apparently know more about Roberts than the President. Perhaps I just don't know who you are -- after all, you could be someone of immense gravitas in Washington for all I know, and not just a posturing keyboard commando.
I agree, Feingold would appear to be at this time the only one who might vote to move him on, the others have been a foregone conclusion since the announcement of the nominee.
Given the make-up of the judiciary committee, I say no. The only reason they would vote yes is if their state polls show public outrage at their behavior.
Biden knows less than Fred Thompson's character on Law and Order, who, as a fictional character only knows what the hollywood writers write.
"Excellent. I realize that the Joe Biden's of the world think that we are all ignorant. but I am not neither are the people on this forum. Biden is an ass."
I realize Judge Roberts is much more intelligent that I ever will be, but it doesn't make me jealous or resentful. I hold him in awe. I enjoy listening to him, especially since he seems to be modest as well regarding his gifts.
Intelligent but modest people are joys to be around - you can learn so much from them and share ideas but they never make you feel a lesser person.
Half-intelligent but condescending, snotty people . . . . on the other hand ......well, you fill in the blanks.
Schumer's done a pretty good job of clamping down on his compulsive need to peer over his eyeglasses, like he's a judge.
It will be interesting to see if he is able to continue such self control, in all the stress of this important moment.
Will Chuck "peer over his spectacles," or not?
~~~On Chuck Schumer~~~
He's not been a very good sport
His only technique is to thwart
When he's not telling lies,
He loves to "advise"
Chuck wants his own seat on the court
Ken5050-
Are you a descendant of the Marquis de Sade? LOL!
And Roberts smiles while he's doing it. Biden was pitiful with his imitation of a smile.
I volunteer.
