ours was out for about 40 mins. Just came back on. We are in the Eagle Rock area.

DWP calling this a "massive" outage and have "not discounted foul play."
There was someone on Sean's show who indicated that there were no explosions etc. However I am sure there are power grids run by server farms which could possibly be hacked.
The looting will start before then.
Yeah - that was well researched after the fact. A high voltage line sagged far enough to make contact with a tree. The resulting current overloaded parts of the grid under control of an Ohio utility (IIRC), and events snowballed from there.
I have the complete report on my HD - but not sure I could find it in a hurry. The report is likely out on the web as well.
Power on here in Woodland Hills, and as far West as Westlake - I just drove back and the power is on out this way. Local news reporting "sporadic" outages. Probably just another DWP idiot on a "repair" job.
Is the city filling up with water?
Maybe it is a psychological attack, after the message yesterday, trying to make people panic.
