Just heard on FOX that Blanco refused to allow supplies to be brought to the stadium, "Because they wanted all those people to leave, and they didn't want to create a magnet to bring others there, by bringing in food and water!"""

I will say it again, did the RATS intentionally make things worse in LA to use as a political weapon ?

This may be a different story then (can there actually be two?)
I was in the other room when the report was on the radio, about noon today, and I thought they said that the rescuers went to a nursing home that had been abandoned of caregivers. They were under the impression, I think, that it was totally evacuated, only to find the residents dead and the caregivers gone.

"
The deliberate starvation and dehydration of those seeking shelter in the Superdome is an atrocity worthy of a war crime tribunal. It's the kind of inhumanity for which Nazi's were shot and hanged."There were no logical answers for why the food and water wasn't there..It HAD to be deliberate.

From the Red Cross website (link above):
Hurricane Katrina: Why is the Red Cross not in New Orleans?
Acess to New Orleans is controlled by the National Guard and local authorities and while we are in constant contact with them, we simply cannot enter New Orleans against their orders.
The state Homeland Security Department had requested--and continues to request--that the American Red Cross not come back into New Orleans following the hurricane. Our presence would keep people from evacuating and encourage others to come into the city.

And somehow this nutjob Gov is trying to blame it all on Bush. Typical incompentent democrat.
To: NickatNite2003
This was a hit job against W!! The RAT party has been shaking in their boots every time they think W might have another BULLHORN HERO MOMENT!! To me this was a hit job...Blanco and Mary lingered long enough for the TV audience to see the disaster, making W look bad!
To: NickatNite2003
Just saw it again on the Fox Report with Shepard Smith. However, it was a cut trim report. Not like the one on Special Report with Britt Hume.

Everybody is susceptible to "rushing to judgement". In this case we never had the facts, just the spin and opinions when folks started making judgements. A lesson in there somewhere Howlin.
