WASHINGTON -- Ford Motor Co. on Wednesday recalled 3.8 million pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles for a cruise control switch suspected of causing engine fires. It is the fifth largest auto industry recall in U.S. history.
Ford said the recall of 1994-2002 model-year vehicles includes the company's hot-selling F-150 pickup truck, Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator and Ford Broncos. The company said it would start sending out recall notices to vehicle owners immediately.

"You have a short retention span, too, eh."
Retention? Hardly a problem these days--getting plenty of fiber now.

The U.S. auto industry is really in trouble -- recent GM developments prove that -- and it all ripples down to quality of their products because that is what is being cut to provide for the socialistic union-pandering overhead costs that are KILLING this industry, just like it killed the steel industry in this country... Well, if the unions don't kill them, then the combination of unions and product liability class-action lawyers certainly will.

I try not to bad-rap any other person's drive or ride, that's why we have so many choices.
C'mon Blackie, Spktyr's just trying to liven things up by funnin with us.
Besides, everyone knows Jeeps are for sissys.

I have a friend who owns a 96 Explorer. It has 314,000 miles and still runs pretty good. He tore up the transmission about 3 years ago but maintains it was his fault, not Ford's.
I desperately want a new Mustang GT, black in color, with a red stripe. That would be the shiznit.
