Retake Congress in 2006, impeach Bush and Cheney and use a resignation and appointment strategy to get either Gore or Kerry to be Speaker of the House. One of them can then appoint the other as Vice-President. Then pack the court like Roosevelt tried to. Otherwise, it's fascism or civil war or fascism and civil war.
We shall see. I really believe Judge Clement will get the nomination.

I just checked DU (taking shower soon) to see how they were reacting. One poster thinks that maybe Rehnquist has been dead for days and it's just now breaking to take the heat off Bush for the Katrina disaster. I know, I shouldn't be shocked but I am anyway. The stupidity knows no bounds.

condolences to your friend. Greta is saying how much his law clerks liked Justice Rehnquist. He apparently was a nice person. We will sure miss him. Hope W appoints Scalia as Chief Justice.

I've got the Notre Dame game on and they broke in to announce this. They also said the court ruled 5 - 4 for President Bush in the Bush v. Gore case. Is that correct???
