I've got the Notre Dame game on and they broke in to announce this. They also said the court ruled 5 - 4 for President Bush in the Bush v. Gore case. Is that correct???

No. There were two decisions. The main decision was decided 7-2. The second decision, on potential remedy, was decided on a 5-4 vote.
