MSM: Take Note - Clinton's Contribution to the Katrina Disaster ( Must Read )
The Federal Register ^ | September 1, 2005 | EagleUSA

Posted on 09/01/2005 3:21:59 PM PDT by EagleUSA

The MSM began politicizing the hurricane Katrina disaster before it even happened. Of course, their one objective is to blame President Bush, our military and anyone else that represents an idealogical barrier to their agenda. What the MSM has not done, is look in their own backyard -- in 1998 the Army Corps of Engineers provided a Draft Request to pursue the protection of noted areas in the Gulf region, to enhance their ability to survive heavy hurricane damage. The project was summarily REJECTED BY BILL CLINTON as not important.

The complicit MSM is making insane charges and accusations based on emotion and hate. Here, in the Federal Register is SOLID FACT that thier poster child, BILL CLINTON, materially contributed to the conditions which permitted hurricant Katrina to dessimate the Gulf region.

>> "To paraphrase what my momma and yours told us when we were younger: Two disgusting indecencies don't make a decency."

To paraphrase Neville Chamberlain, "Peace in our time!" Like Chamberlain, your "turn the other cheek" method is foolish. Bush has been trying the "I am wimpier than you" method for five years and the MSM has been stomping him. What we need are leaders who believe James 4:7 which reads, "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

Personally, I agree with both of you, but personally, I can't even seem to have a passing conversation about this horrible disaster at a grocery store or gas station without someone interjecting something to the effect of "if Bush would've done such and such" or "if Bush wouldn't have done..." So far I've been polite and rational in saying that this mess isn't the president's fault and the war has nothing to do with it, but you can't reason with idiots like this. In some cases, it would be really nice to have a comeback to shut them the h*ll up.

Yeah, I get that every time I suggest that the tactics being adopted by conservatives are less than perfect. Go read my blog, then come back and tell me I'm a liberal.

I have read your nonsense on this thread. That is enough. Get someone else to read your blog.

I see. Then don't pretend to know me or know what I think. I believe that a course of action you favor is both tactically inept and in very poor taste, and therefore, according to you, I'm a liberal. You're a fool.

And your course of action is what: roll over and play dead? You are the fool, sonny.

No. My course of action is to, for now, blast the Democrats for daring to politicize this horrifying tragedy. Then, after a seemly length of time elapses, point out the grievous errors made by the (Democratic) city government and state government. Point out that the Mayor was slow to order a mandatory evacuation, that he did not make thousands of buses available to evacuate, and that his police utterly failed to keep order and in some cases actually joined the looters. Don't say "it's Clinton's fault," that just makes you look silly. And certainly don't do it while desperate people are dying while awaiting rescue.

Oh, and one other bit of tactics you should learn: DON'T ATTACK PEOPLE ON YOUR SIDE JUST BECAUSE THEY DISAGREE WITH YOU. Sheesh. If I had a nickel for every time some idiot with whom I'm ashamed to be on the same side accused me of being a liberal, I'd have about $1.85.

I am just as upset about what is going on, I pray daily for those in need due to the Hurricane. Cousin's husband's family live in that area and are still not heard from.

We need to get this information out. It is positive information. Something needs to be done about all this Bush bashing. We always wait until it is almost too late which is why the dims are so very able with their lies and the MSM are so very ready to scream them.

That is exactly my complaint about you. In fact, your very first post (to EagleUSA) was"

"Shut. The. Hell. Up. If you want to play political games with this calamity, that's fine. If you want to get down in the mud with the liberals and argue over whose fault this natural disaster was, be my guest. But for God's sake, have the decency at least to wait until they fish all the waterlogged bodies out of the streets of New Orleans, huh?"

How sweet of you. And now you write:

"My course of action is to, for now, blast the Democrats for daring to politicize this horrifying tragedy."

You cannot even keep your own story straight.

Shut. The. Hell. Up.

Why should he/she when we have Landrieu on TV threatening to punch the President and blaming him for cutting funds?

Spread the word Eagle and while you're at it can you tell me why the link doesn't work. I'm writing to Landrieu now and would like to cite the article.

The city has been largely cleared, the dying is largely done. NOW is the time to go on the offensive, and HERE is the way to do it. No "turning the other cheek." No "letting them get away with it." Just waiting until the proper time to bring the political guns to bear. And firing back with something a lot more potent than "Clinton didn't build levees either."
