Chinese Activist Warns of Nuclear War
Washington Times ^ | 9-1-05 | Bill Gertz

China is preparing for nuclear war with the United States over Taiwan, and a conflict is likely in the near future because of divisions among Beijing's leaders, a Chinese democracy activist says.

Wei Jingsheng, a leading international advocate for political reform in China, said in an interview with The Washington Times that President Bush and other U.S. leaders do not fully understand the chance of a conflict breaking out and must do more to avert it.

Sure Chinese love gold and money.

But in a contest between conquest and pride vs money

Pride and conquest will win every time in terms of key elements of the leadership--especially the military.

YOU SAID..."I believe that "limited nuclear exchange" isn't on our list of tolarable things."

Absolutely it was not in the past.

I cant see Bush opting for such a scenario in the present timeframe.

I could see Hillary or a Kerry clone going there however in the future.

I think everyone assumed in the past with MAD that both sides had rational men who controlled the missles, and that basic principles of national sovereignty or even national honor would not be compromised.

I think they will wait for the puppet masters' cue after terrorists nuke NYC, DC, ATLANTA, LA, SAN DIEGO AND ???

AND perhaps after we have gotten immersed in attacking Iran or some such.

They will bide their time still. They are a very patient lot in most respects.

It's impossible to briefly help you understand the Chinese psyche, culture on that score.

Basically--pride and they feel it's their not only just due--but duty to their culture and people to conquer the world--it's THEIR TURN.

"I believe that "limited nuclear exchange" isn't on our list of tolarable things."

The problem is keeping any such exchange "limited."

Good stuff you write and if the Political/PLA controllers in China really intend war with us then they should probably ask LITTLE KIM over across the way for some advice...Between the two of um, it's still so much hot air....

"China's population etc. is even more spread out, in some respects, than ours."

Why punish the population at large for the misdeeds of their leaders?

Why not simply evaporate the Communist Party leadership in their bunkers, and then let the warlords and bandits run things?

Ruining their day as well as we are able

or inclined with puppet master constraints and treason . . .

they would still have plenty population left to give us more than trouble--and still have plenty of container ships to transport about whatever they wished, including troops.

I fiercely think Taiwan is worth defending.

But it's a moot question. The puppet masters have decided to sacrifice it and the USA for their globalist goals.

YUP. They are DEFINITELY prone to using nationalistic foreign war adventures to quiet restless trouble-makers at home.

Nixon would say less. That's why he opened trade with them as his legacy.

It has its good and bad points as a policy. On the one hand, you fund them to build whatever they can. On the other hand, they'd probably find consumers elsewhere. So back on the other hand, they become dependent on you not only to sustain their military, but their economy and power base as well. On the other hand, if the the hardcore Reds realize they're losing power to democratic forces, they have nothing to lose and may well deploy their weapons.

I'm more concerned about them teaming up with former Soviets and quashing the democratic gains made in the region and creating Cold War II. This, in and by itself, is not necessarily a bad thing. A stalemate keeps everyone in the game. On the other hand, the oil supply and flow has been reaching a critical mass lately.

Very complicated issue. Gertz knows his field well.

Drum beat?

A whole symphony of drummers all across the land.

And Chinese are great drummers.

Thanks.

Great links.

I believe Dimitru Duduman is quite accurate in his dreams and visions.

China is planning to invade CONTINENTAL USA.

I don't believe the rumors of PLA forays across our Southern border with Mexican army personnel are groundless rumors. I believe there's at least a kernel of fact in those rumors.

No, I don't have any links to such stories.

"Growing nationalist sentiment in China also has led to public calls for war over Taiwan."

If this can be believed, it's one of the more alarming comments made on the subject.

...had your love for extremely complex plans ...

Complex??? The PLA is secretive about EVERYTHING they do, and you think a simple surprise first-strike is complex??? To me, it all boils down to the actual assets they have, and that is what is most worrisome. Strategic surprise. In depth.

And the simplest asymmetric attack of all: Ten or more major EMP blasts from SCUDS launched from anonymous Arab-registry ships above the continental U.S., and have Al-Quaeda take credit for it. Every U.S. city would be in almost the same straits immediately as New Orleans.

No phones. No electrical power. No communications. No gasoline able to be pumped. No computers. No banks. Not pretty.

THe USA forced Taiwan to give up their nukes in our exceeding short sightedness. Whether Taiwan has built others or not I don't know but I doubt it.

Taiwan is schizophrenic on the matter. Wants mostly to be left alone. Is not near sharp enough and practiced enough on defense, imho.

And may be tooooo focused on economic issues to be alert enough at key moments.

It won't be bait.

It will be a heavy hammer and sharp sickle at strategic parts of our Western US and Hawaii.
